Toasted Sandwich Croatian Style

Hi,

I am doing and preparing a post about Croatia but in the meantime I thought I would show you a Toasted Sandwich Croatian style,  We just fancied something for lunch,   just a snack so we ordered a toasted sandwich,  Ham and Cheese and this is what arrived.  The bread was square with the crusts on,  yes it was different and it did taste nice,  not quite what we expected.

Back to Basics - Spotlight Technique

 Hi,
Time for another challenge at Back to Basics Challenge blog,   this is slightly different challenge this time,  we would like to see Spotlight Techniques.

My card I did something slightly different I used a CD and printed the image in black and white and then again in colour,  I matted the black and white on silver card,  and cut two ovals out in different sizes and matched up the coloured images onto the black and white card.  I used the backing paper from the CD.   I used A walk in the countryside Cd by Creative Crafting,    I wanted to show you that CD's can be very versatile,  and just added a ribbon to match.

CD Sunday Challenge - Things to Eat

Hi,
Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday Challenge blog,  this time its Jane's turn to choose and she has chosen Things to Eat.

For this card I used Shoes in Bloom CD  by Ooh La La creations for the image and backing paper.  I matted the image onto silver card, 
The fruit was the only buttons I could get which was white strawberries which I coloured with Promakers and bananas,  which I put in a spray of leaves and added some red gems amongst the spray.

I finished off the card with a blue ribbon.

Carollyn's Fish tat along

Hi,

Carollyn has been doing a tat along with fish,   well this is my fish I used lizbeth no 20 Raspberry Frappe,  I used pale pink seed beads and a white bead for the eyes.  they don't really show up as much as I thought they would.

The background is a free card gift pack from Papercraft Inspirations magazine this month,

Alenalea Tatting tat along on Facebook update

Hi,

At last I can give you an update on the tat along I have been doing,  I finished the flowers, although I see I still have one middle to do.  This is the center of the doily,  I did a white middle and then used Lizbeth Tropical Punch which has the same yellow and pink in it,  I have changed colours now and I have two rows before attaching the flowers.

I am a bit slow at the moment,  but I did tat the middle on holiday.

Back to Basics challenge - Heat Embossing

Hi,

This fortnight Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge is for Heat Embossing, 
For this card I used a piece of flowery paper from stock and a stamp from the Hummingbird Set which was free with Papercraft Inspirations some time ago,  I stamped it and used silver embossing powder,  in the flowers itself I used some Detail Sparkle glitter which I am sorry has not shown up in the picture.   I finished off the card with a piece of ribbon down the side.

CD Sunday Challenge - Second Time around recycled

Hi,
Another fortnight has flown by and another challenge from the CD Sunday Challenge blog,  this time its Carol who has chosen second time around - recycled. By recycled we mean using something again it could be anything and the team have come up with some brilliant uses.
For my card I have used Elegant Fans CD b y Joanna Sheen for the image and the backing paper.
My recycled items are the ribbon which was from the loops on a blouse I brought and some old lace from something which I cant remember what I took it off,  but its sat in the box for a while in the hope of being reused.  I added a red heart gem and glitter on the flowers which is not showing up in the picture.

Tat a Brussels Monument update

Hi,

By the time you read this I will be either on my way to or in Croatia, 

I thought you might like an update on the Tat a Brussels Monument,  it stands at

Over 5,000 squares (10 letters still on their way, which were sent months ago)
and 47 Countries, (Brazil and Latvia have been added to the list.)
