October Pinterest Challenge by the Pin chicks

Hi
Gosh the end of October already, it's been a hard month for me and I never thought I would have finished this but I did and as it's Autumn I have also included some tatting which I was going to post and then thought let's put it altogether.  In fact both items are on Pinterest so it's like a double challenge.
The knitted pumpkins are from a pattern by Bobbi Lewin. It's the first pattern she has written up,  the pattern made the small pumpkin and then I thought I would make one bigger,  well after a little unpicking and re knitting this pumpkin is bigger but not quite as big as I would have liked.  I also think my green is a bit dark but its was the only green I had the other odd bit of wool was far too light.  A link for the pattern is http://bobbilewin.com and it is called Pumpkins
Now for the tatted Maple Leaf Motif,  I did enjoy making this leaf,  I have been making snowflakes and got a bit off with them so it was nice to change colour.  This pattern is by Tammy Rodgers aka GreenFuzzer and the lizbeth thread no 20 is called Falling Leaves.  I don't have a link for this pattern but I think most tatters will either have the pattern or know where to find it.

Now I know a lot of my followers will want to know how my eye is,  well I had the second injection in my eye this last week,  i felt the injection this time but the eye did not swell up so much,  I have another injection in a months time.  It was a bad week,  our journey to Sheffield was to say the least eventful with a division that we never found the end to and instead ended up on another division that also went into another division.  Well we found our way back to the road we wanted in the end.  Then on the M1 having came off for a quick stop for the loo,  and trying to get back on the motorway we got hit by a lorry.  We only had mirror damage and were able to continue our journey.  The car will be off the road for a couple of days while it's repaired.  It could have been a lot worse and we were both shaken,  it's our first accident ever.   Just hope the next time we go up at the end of November it will be a better journey.
Please do go and visit the pin chicks blogs,  I have no idea what they have done and I am sure it will be worth a visit,  here are the links

CD Sunday Challenge - Father Christmas

Hi,
This fortnight the CD Sunday Challenge is Father Christmas chosen by Meg.   I think I found a nice cheerful Father Christmas from the CD A little bit of Everything from My Craft Studio Elite.  I have had this CD for some time so its nice to use one that sits and does not get used very often.
I used the backing papers and image from the same CD,  I matted the image on red card and place a red strip of pattern shiny card down the center.
The poinsettias are from two of the team who very kindly helped me out as I did not have a poinsettia die,  thank you ladies if was very kind of you.  I put green ribbon under the poinsettias and finished the card off with gold peel off strips,
I hope you will not only visit the CD Sunday Challenge site,  remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Babys Party Cardigan

Hi,
I have just finished this little baby's party cardigan.  Its a vintage pattern by Poppleton.  It has rolled hems which took time to sew up but the finished result is lovely. I used a sparkly wool in very pale blue which is slightly darker than the picture (again the camera does not do the right colour why do modern cameras not take good pictures)  The wool has a sparkly thread running through it which gives it a sparkle and shine and I added sparkly buttons just to add to the sparkle,   Its size 20 inch chest,  and would give any baby a special look for a special occasion or christmas.
I am pleased with this cardigan and have put it for sale in my store.
Hope you are keeping well,  I am off to Sheffield for another injection in my eye this week.
So until we meet again take care
I see these pictures once published have come out green it is a pale blue, no idea why blogger playing silly b....

CD Sunday Challenge - Paws

Hi,

Something a little different this fortnight at the CD Sunday Challenge,  we have a sponsor Sharon Duncan Crafts,  and the prize this fortnight will be a copy of  her new CD's Playful pups.
All the DT cards have been made from this lovely new CD. There is also another prize from the CD Sunday challenge team for the runner up this fortnight.

Well here's my card for the Challenge  - Paws.
I used a round scalloped edge card for the base,  the image,  backing papers plus the sentiment with a paw holding it all came from the CD and I finished off the card with a ribbon bow.

Here's a close up of the image used.

I hope you will not only visit the CD Sunday Challenge site but enjoy the cards made from this new CD.   Remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Challenge - Country Living

Hi
The Cd Sunday Challenge this fortnight has been chosen by Pamela and its Country Living.
I wanted something different not sure if this has worked,
I used Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West Collection disc number one for the backing and matching image which I matted onto blue card,  using three images at different angels,   I put a die corner spray in the corners and I made a matching blue bow to one side of the images.
I made it simple without any fussy bits and kept plain for a male card.
If you would like to join us at the CD Sunday Challenge please do so,  we would love to see you,  just use something from a CD is all we ask.  Here is a link for the CD Sunday Challenge blog
Hope you are having a lovely weekend,

                                   Hugs
