CD Sunday Challenge # 61 - Anything Goes

 Hi,

Here we are already in the middle of May,  this year seems to be flying by,  its time for another challenge at the CD Sunday challenge blog,  this fortnight is anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB or digital material,  please remember to tell us the source where the material is from.  This fortnight the challenge is hosted by Pamela.

For my card,  I used Tattered Lace magazine no 58 download,  using the matching die from the magazine with the spray of flowers and backing papers being downloaded.  I used a handbag shaped card and finished off with peel offs.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from,   and that it is a card or a project.    Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Lilly of the Valley

 Hi,

At last this is my first flowers of my Lily of the Valley they are about two to three weeks late flowering, due to the cold weather and frost we had in April.   I always post a picture of Lily of the Valley on the 1st May,  as Lily of the Valley are big in France on that day,  when I had my florist shop I had a french woman come in to buy some and was very annoyed I did not have any,  that year like this they were late flowering,  This mouth has been very wet,  and not very warm, hoping the weather will improve and it’s warms up a bit.  Over the next few days our forecast is high gale force winds and yet more rain.

Summer fun doily

Hi,

Sometimes we tat things and they just don’t work out,  this is a doily I originally tatted this 49 years ago was the first pattern I ever Tatted,  and I thought I would re visit the pattern again,  Big mistake,  everything was fine until the last row,  it did not  work out,  I have spent days looking at the pattern working out where the mistake is,  I cannot find it, and now I am so fed up with it,  that’s it,  I am going to cut off the last row,  making it a smaller doily,   My original one is worn out tried and well not looking it’s best,  but after 49 years I am too worried.

My hubby said if you cut off some and redo it will it work out or will you waste more thread on it,  no idea but the cost of thread these days compared to when I learnt to tat and this was the first patter I ever Tatted is a vast difference.  I will one day go back to it and put another row on it to finish it off but for now,   I am moving on I am so fed up with it.  I don’t give up easily but this has given me so much grieve, what can I say,  I’ve  had it,

The pattern is from Learning tatting a coats booklet 1970’s  and thread is lizbeth summer fun no 20.

CD Sunday challenge # 60 - Anything goes

 Hi,

Gosh its time again for another challenge at the CD Sunday challenge blog,  as always it is anything goes, as long as its from a Digital material, CD or USB,  this fortnight the challenge is hosted by Carol,

For  my card I used an image and backing sheet from Gnomes and Faries CD by Le Pashe,  I matted the image onto silver card, decoupaged the image with his pint of beer and barrel of beer, embossed a strip of green card with a cutterbug embossing folder, and added some autumn leaves.  The sentiment after a lot of conversation with hubby reads "Its your birthday Have a pint ot two on me" which I generated on the computer.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

Tatted Easter basket

 Hi,

A bit late for Easter but I finally finished the Easter basket,  I had a problem with the handle it was too long and would not stay up no matter how much  stiffing I did,  so in the end after much thought I glued a piece of acetate inside the handle and it worked.

I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Rainbow Taffy,  Pineapple Parfait and leaf green.  The pattern was by Laura Bziuklewicz,  I enjoyed tatting it but next time I will make the handle shorter.
