1,000 post giveaway

Hi,

As promised before Christmas I said on reaching 1,000 posts I would do a giveaway,   I know its a bit late,  they say better late than never,  well after a lot of thought I decided that I would giveaway one of knitted doilies,   Which I have just finished,  I wanted to do something that would fit both my card making followers and my tatting followers so instead of one or the other I went for a knitted doily to be fair to both sides.
This doily has been knitted in merchandised cotton and can be machine washed up to a temperature of 40 degrees,  Its in a pale pink colour.
To win this doily  become a follower if you are not and please leave a comment,   I will draw a number on the 30th January 2020.
Good Luck

Knitting for Joeys

Hi,
I have been knitting for the animals that have been injured in Australia,  we have all seen the horrifying pictures of the bush fires.
I joined a group on Facebook that are knitting, crocheting and sewing pouches, nests etc to send to Australia.  So far I have knitted these pouches for the Joeys,  the wool is green but every time I photo it,  it comes out blue,  most annoying.  They have been sent off and I am resting my hand I now have arthritis in it and the weather is not helping to ease the pain,  just something else to go with the arthritis in my hip and jaw.
I hope to knit more over the next few weeks.
Don't forget I am doing a giveaway for my 1,000 post
I hope you have a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Plus Challenge - # 27 Anything goes

Hi,
Time for the CD Sunday plus challenge,  as I schedule this post the weather outside is rough and blowing a gale and pouring with rain.
No wonder we have flood fields and flooding,  its Australia that could do with this rain,  I have been knitting pouches for the animals in Australia,  the information about the pouches and nests needed for the animals can be found at Paws across the oceans on Facebook.
This challenge is hosted by Wynn don't forget its anything goes as long as it from a CD, USB or digital material.
Back to my card today,  I wanted a card with floral theme and I found this image on Goggle,  the flower is called Xenia and comes in many colours.   I used a backing paper from Click, print and go from My craft studio crafters essentials Vol 1 CD.  The die is from creative expression called Hobart adornment,  to which I cut four and placed then around a piece of gold Hunkydory bushed gold card,  I matted the image on the same care and finished it off with gold peel offs and a small bow of ribbon.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Last card of 2019

Hi,
This was the last card I made in 2019,  and I made it for Vernon,  I used the die from the latest Tattered lace magazine for December,  and downloaded the papers that went with the die.  I finished off the card with gold peel offs and ribbon.

This is a card I received from Carollyn in the USA,  with one of her tatted  button angels,  she tatted the angel in size no 80 thread,  the card has a gold frame which has come out silver in the photo,  and a velvet red on the card,   gives a totally different feel to any card to touch. Thank you Carollyn.   I have the pattern for the button angel its on the to do list along with some other new patterns to try.

At the moment I am knitting pouches for the Joeys in Australia,  they need them for the injured animals from the fires.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge - # 26 Anything goes

Hi,
Happy New Year
This is a new year and the first challenge from CD Sunday Challenge blog,   as always its Anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB, or Digital material.  This fortnight the Challenge is being hosted by Jane.
For my card for this challenge I have used an image and backing paper from the Wine Buffs CD by Katy Sue Designs.
I matted and layered the image onto grey card and then onto silver bushed miri card by Hunydory.   The ribbon matches the colours on the perfectly and was from stash.  Just a simple card from me this challenge.
