Host of Angels

Hi,

We are experiencing some very wet weather at the moment,  although we have not had as much as the north of England,  it’s certainly been a wet spell,  and mild unusually mild for us.

I have made a host of Angels,  it’s taken the best part of a week, one a day,  but from tomorrow I have workmen in,  I have taken everything out of the kitchen,  my house feels inside out and upside down, one half of me is looking forward to a new kitchen,  the other half  is dreading workmen with bang and drilling and whatever noise they make.  Of course endless cups of tea?

The pattern is SSSR Angel by Anne Bruvold,  i tatted them in Lizbeth thread no 20

Have a good week, stay safe

70th Birthday

 Hi,

This is a 70th birthday for Terry,  we meet Terry on our Norwegian cruise in 2019 and we have been friends with them ever since.

I used a pattern base card by Hunkydory and matted the image on bushed Miri gold card also by Hunkydory but I found this sheet in my stash of the motor  bike,  which I cut out and decoupaged unfortunately I cannot tell you where the image is from.  It’s a great realistic image is all I can say.  If anyone knows where it came from I would be delighted to know.

Baby knitting No 3

Hi,

Yes my needles have been busy,  this time it’s for my hairdresser who baby’s is due in October.

I made this cardigan and matching hat with stripy wool,  and a white rib around the bottom, neck and cuffs. I have lost the label so I cannot tell you the name of the wool.

I have given it to her and she was delighted as most of the presents so far have been white and she was pleased to get something in colour,  she does not know what the baby will be, and wants a surprise,  I think I would be the same.  She’s now about to stop working for a while but it’s her business so she will be back doing my hair sometime in the future in the meantime one of the other girls will be doing it.

This is a picture of the hat that went with the cardigan

CD Sunday Challenge # 71 Anything goes

 Hi,

Time for another challenge at CD Sunday,  this year is going fast and here we are into October,  The host this fortnight is Pamela

My card this fortnight is from Cottage Garden Moments CD by Debbi Moore,   this is a new CD to me although its not a new one,   I brought this CD recently and I am very pleased with it.  I cut a lace stencil down the side of the card,  and folded the cutting,  I saw this done on a card recently and as I had the stencil so  I copied the idea.  I used an image and then decoupage the chair and  fancy square at the top with the hat.  This card did take a little while but I am happy with the result. I finished it off with gold peel offs and a peach ribbon bow.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

Wedding Card

 Hi,

Today we have a wedding in the family,  it so nice to see the family at something different other than a funeral and there’s been quite a few over the years.  This is the card I made for Jemma and Lewis’s wedding today ,  we are going to the evening do this evening and spending the rest of the weekend with Vernon’s sister near Oxford.

The images I brought some time ago from crafts u print,  I can’t remember who designed it and I looked the other day on the site,  and I could not find it. I have used it several times over the years,  it’s always been a favourite of mine.

I do hope they like their card.

Have a lovely weekend.

Baby knitting no. 2

Hi,

This  is post no two on baby knitting,    The baby has niw been born and is called Mabel May, this cardigan  was knitted along with the first post but this time the cardigan was knitted in double knitting white wool with a matching hat.

The pattern I used was Marianna’s Lazy Daisy Days called Charlie Baby Cardigan Jacket  from her blog

Link to her blog Blog she has a lot of baby patterns,  I really do like her patterns and this is not the first I have knitted.  I know the title has a boys name and this was for a girl,  but I really did like this pattern and looks really beautiful when finished

The picture shows the back

The hat

We are hoping to meet her over the weekend,
