Knitted angels

 Hi,

Yes I know I have not posted anything for a few weeks,  I am still here,  behind with posting so you will get a few old items as the next couple of weeks.  I am waiting for a heart echo and CT scan now after a follow up appointment last week.  I was going to post this post last Sunday but we lost the phone and internet on Saturday night and it’s only just been repaired.  With the severe weather we have been having it a miracle we kept  our electric.

These are some of the knitted angels I knitted before and over Christmas,  I tried to vary the pattern,  I used some red and green glitter thread in rib pattern and miss stitch wings.  I did some in a white/silver thread and some in  white  4ply wool,  I did the wings in moss stitch which I thought gave a different look to just rib.   I did to one Angel with blue beads and white/ silver  thread.  I did a lot of experiments with the patterns but I think I will stick to the rib pattern and do the wings in moss stitch

The picture below are  white angels in 4 ply wool.  The pattern comes in 2 sizes these are the larger size ones  the original pattern was rib but again I tried different patterns  one in plain stocking stitch and another one which did not work at all in moss stitch which made her look a fat Angel. I think no one will want a fat Angel on a tree.

All have wooden bead heads and a crochet chain to hang them on,

The pattern is from https://castoffcollective.com.au

Snowflakes

 Hi,

Happy hump day,  this post is a bit late but never mind better late than never,   It’s very cold here in the U.K.,  most parts of the U.K. have snow,  but so far we have only had a dusting of snow,  but very hard frost at night.   There is a storm coming in tomorrow night,  so I have rearranged Friday just in case we have a lot of snow and get cut off.

These are the snowflakes are from a pattern which CreaHelga tatting put on Facebook at the beginning of December for anyone to play with.

Thus snowflake has Josephine rings in the chains,
This snowflake  on each ring has picots starting with a very small picot increase in to the middle with a large picot and then going back around the ring decreasing in size.
This snowflake has a large picot with a small picot and then joined on the other side of the small picot.  I am sure there’s a better name for this than a description

This snowflake is completely different,   I did the ring as a chain and then did a small ring and a single split chain of 4 double stitches,  this was something Wally did a few years ago and I took the idea from her for several patterns I have done and designed

I did enjoy playing with the pattern,  unfortunately I was rushed into hospital before Christmas  and then told to rest so I really never managed to do some more.  I will sometime in the future do some more

Stay warm and safe in this bad weather

My last Christmas card 2025

 Hi,

Yes it’s a bit late  but late than never and I had forgotten this card,  it’s always the last to be made why,  I finish off every Christmas card to send and then I have time to play.

This is my hubby’s Christmas card,  I used the image and frosty flowers from Opulence by design,   The background paper was from stash,  made a spray of die cut  silver foliage,  added a blue feather and grey ribbon.  I also  die cut some snowflakes which I put randomly on the card.   It was something very different from what he has had before and he did like it.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a very happy new year
