Happy Christmas

Hi,

We saw this brilliant image of a snowman at a local small market garden shop we pass when we go shopping and I just had to take a photo,  hes made of tyres and painted white,  what a brilliant idea.

I would like to wish all my friends and followers around the world a Very Happy Christmas,   hope you all have a lovely christmas.

1,000 post - Its snowing snowflakes

Hi,
This is my 1,000th post since I started my blog,  it seemed to just suddenly creep up on me,  I am going to do a giveaway after the New Year that will give me time to finish the item I am going to giveaway.  I am going to keep you guessing what it might be,  its not tatting or card making related,  but if you are a regular reader of my blog you might just guess what it might be.
Land of Laces started a challenge of 25 snowflakes before christmas,  well I have not made the 25 rather fell very short of the 25 but these are the ones I have made,  there are a lot of new patterns this year,  and they are ready destined to be made in 2020.
All the snowflakes have been made with Lizbeth thread no 20 in white

No 1 This is one of my favorites its called Wheel of Nine Rings

No 2  This is the snowflake from Renuleks snowflake mat she designed in 2013
No 3  This is a new design by Muskaan November 2019,  I made the small one from the design but I felt it worked up just too small for my liking,   I have since found out that Lizbeth thread seems to be thinner than it should be at the moment and this was made from a new ball.   I then made it again but made more rings which turned into a circle.

No 4   the Twelfth day of December from the book 24 Snowflakes in tatting

 No 5 Diane’s snowflake no 3 from 11 September 2012

No 6  The Eleventh day of December from the book 24 Snowflakes in Tatting

No 7.  Twinkle Twinkle by Joelle from leblogdefrivole.blogspot.com

No 8 The Third day of December from the 24 Snowflakes in Tatting

No 9 Graces first snowflake  by Grace Tan December 2012

No 10 My own Snowflake design,  Taj Mahal Snowflake

Over the the years I have enjoyed my blog and hopefully will continue to blog for many more years to come,  In the New Year I will be doing a giveaway to celebrate this 1,000 post.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 25 Christmas Prize Challenge

Hi,
This is the last CD Sunday Plus Challenge for this year and we are doing a special challenge for Christmas with a Prize for the winner., This challenge is open until 21st December.
My card for this challenge is a download from Debbi Moore Website,  if you are a member or join the website Debbi Moore gives away downloads regularly and there are some downloads which you can buy for a small charge,  this is one of her free downloads
I really love this image which I used with the backing paper,  I matted the image onto Hunydory gold brushed miri card (I think by now you know I love this card)  and decoupaged the image several times.   I made a poinsettia from Debbi Moore's poinsettia dies which I did in glitter blue card to match her dress and white card making a spray with a blue feather and blue ribbon.  I used a Hunydory base card in blue with gold lines running through it.  I finished off the card with the Merry Christmas sentiment which came with the download and gold peel offs.

The team and me would like to wish our followers and those who enter our challenges a very happy Christmas and New Year.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Margaret
