April Doily

Hi,

I am very behind with blogging,  I hope to catch up over the next couple of weeks,   here is a doily I tatted,  its called April and was designed in lock down by Laura tatting from Facebook.
This doily I did enjoy I am going to make another one but in the meantime I have several other things I want to do.   I used for this doily Lizbeth thread No 20 in Blue Ice and Turquoise Twist.

CD Sunday plus Challenge - anything goes # 38

Hi,
It's time for another challenge at the CD Sunday plus challenge blog,  as always its anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB, or digital material  and is hosted by Carol.  we are very pleased that so many are joining us in these challenges while we are still in lock down.
For my card I have done something different doing a spotlight card using an image and backing paper from Pollyanna Pickering Farmyard days CD,   A jigsaw die on the coloured image and then placing some of the jigsaw pieces on a black and white image making it into what is called a spotlight image.  I matted the image onto blue card,  scattered the rest of the jigsaw pieces around the card,  Finishing off with parchment feathers,  and ribbon bows.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday plus challenge - anything goes #37

Hi,
Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday plus Challenge blog and this week it is hosted by Jocelyn.   As usual it is anything goes as long as its from a CD,  USB, or Digital material.

This fortnight my card is for Christmas and I have used an image and backing paper from Magical Christmas moments CD by Cupcake crafting.   I matted the image onto Hunkydory gold bushed miri board,  with  the Ivy die which was free from Die cutting Magazine.  I finished off the card with a believe in magic christmas die which I think was a tatted lace die,  peel offs and a bow of ribbon.

Knitted Tablecloth

Hi,
This is one of my knitted tablecloths,  its the first one I ever knitted and took a year,  many many years ago,  the stitches which you start with 8 and end up with 2,000,  Its very big and the best way to take a photo was to drape it over the settee,  The stitches around the edge with crocheted off but one of then little chains got caught with the bra fastening in the washing machine,   Now while in lock down I found the pattern and mended the chain.  As it had never been on my blog I thought you all might like to see it.
Its a coats pattern no 1179 and was made with coats thread no 20 and took 13 balls of cotton.  I still have some of the thread left which was a blessing as I don't know if they still make this colourway,
I have a white one but my grand daughter when she was younger made a hole in it,  while we are still in lock down I am thinking its time to get it out and unpick the cloth to where the hole is and re-knit it.  All I can is watch this space,  it will be a long job.

Threads that Bind

Hi,

Its a beautiful day here and very warm, as I write this post,  we are promised some rain later in the week,  my garden could do with it.
As you can see I have finished the 14 day isolation doily,  which is now called Threads that Bind,  I had some hiccups,  looking at the photo I wish I had  not put the dark green in the middle,  you would have seen the pattern better,  but well its done and now onto my next tatting project.
I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Christmas green,  Pineapple Parfait,  and Christmas mixed greens
This doily was designed  by Tat-a-Renda link to her Facebook page
Hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather
