Today is International tatting day,  celebrated around the world by tatters,  this is my latest donut ring snowflake I have done,  the pattern is from 24 Snowflakes by Lene Bjorn.  It worked out quite large at 4 inches dia.,  like all donut rings I used Lizbeth thread no 20
This pattern is December 2 Button ornament again using a donut ring,  this ring is green.
The picture above  is my latest button design, well it’s a donut actually, this is a gold one may not show up so well in the photo.
This started off as Dianes December 20 pattern, but when I had gone around the donut I only had ten rings instead of 12, not to waste anything, I made up the rest starting off with a tiny split ring and then worked around with chains, last row another split ring and then worked with rings and chains. It does lay flat but likes to go frilly a bit on the outside. I am happy with it, but have not bothered to write the pattern out.
This is another donut ring again using December 9 Button ornament by Diane, This also had a gold ring.
All button ornament patterns are by Diane from Lace-loving Librarian blogspot.
I am really enjoying tatting this donut rings,  but I am now having a rest and have started a new project which I will share with you when I have finished it.
Have a lovely international tatting day and a very Happy Easter to everyone reading my blog.
