Happy International Tatting Day

Hi,

Yes it might be April fools day,  but today is International tatting day, and this year I have made this heart and paws in the colours of Ukraine. The blue should be darker but I don’t have any blue dark enough so I used this one I found.

The heart pattern is from Facebook called Pray for Ukraine by  Edda Guastalla

The  paws pattern is also from Facebook and I did them for all the animals that are frighten and suffering in Ukraine at the moment.  This pattern is by @1001 no’s Frivolite

I used the yellow thread which is new to me and I have never heard of Lesur Pixie no 20,  and the blue thread which I found in the bottom of my thread draw is an old ball of coats also no 20 which was brought in the 1979s.

I hope every tatter around the world has a lovely day tatting and eating chocolate

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes # 81

As I write this the sun has got its hat on,  it’s a beautiful day here in Somerset,  it would  be warmer if the wind drop,  a breeze they said … no it’s more like a Gale,  at least its looking like spring with the daffs out,  if the news was better,  instead of the war we had peace in the world,    My thought and prayers go out to the people of  Ukraine.

It’s time for another challenge at CD Sunday and this fortnight its Pamela turn to host

For my card this fortnight I used Farmyard days CD by Pollyanna Pickering for the image and background papers,  The image I did as a twisted pyramid design.  which i matted onto blue card,  finished off with peel offs and added some parchment feathers and made a  matching blue bow.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from,   and that it is a card or a project.    Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday challenge, # 80 Anything goes

 Hi,

Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday blog,  as usual its Anything goes as long ss its from a CD, USB or digital material,  this fortnight the host is Carol,

For my card this fortnight I used Pet set CD by La Pashe,  I decoupage the image which is full of cats of every colour,  matted the image on some yellow card, and used the backing paper that went with the image.  I used a sparkly peel off around the outside of the image to give it a bit of sparkle, add a bow and finished the card off  using a piece of the same yellow card to back the sentiment. "Just of you my Cat lover"

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

Happy St Davids day

To all my Welsh followers Happy St David's Day.

Many years ago I tatted this daffodil from the pattern by Jennifer Williams,   As I have not tatted anything for St Davids day I have recycled this post  again.  I have not been to well over recent weeks with a great deal of pain in my back and hips,  so I hope no one will mind me recycling this post again,  and I hope my Welsh followers have a greast day.

I used Lizbeth thread no 20 Pineapple Parfait,   I could not find a yellow button in the shop but i did find this green glitter one,  I only just finished it in time to post it today, I have not put the beads in the middle yet.
