Mike’s fund raising

Hi,

This is a little unusual post but I have permission from Mike of the Hive in Shepton Mallet to post this and help him raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

These knitted dolls are in the nude, no I did not do any knitting towards them,  but the pictures has been blacked out for certain bits of their bodies,   It’s has and is a talking point not only in Shepton Mallet but around the world,  he’s had people contacting him from all parts of the world.  There is also a book with the patterns in,  which if anyone wants one please contact Mike at the Hive.

This is the piece from The hives Facebook page,

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides life-saving, pre-hospital critical care, to patients in need. They are a vital part of the community across Dorset and Somerset and they rely on your support.

I’m supporting DSAA as the service they provide is 95% funded by charitable giving; by people like you. Last year, they were tasked to 2,424 incidents, with each mission costing approximately £3,500.

Please join me in helping to raise funds for this life-saving service. Together, with your support, they can be there for patients.

We are a local crafting cafe which is a friendly hub for our local community. Our crafting community has created some nudinits to display in our window to fund raise for the Air Ambulance. Interest in our project has been immense and we have made the BBC news; Metro London and press in New Zealand. Due to some complaints as to the nudity a Free The Hive Five campaign has begun. People are asking how to donate to our cause, hence this Just Giving page. Help us reach our target !!

Any donation would be gratefully received

Who ever knitted these they are brilliant,  from a policeman,  to morris dancers,  I wish I could show you more but in the name of keeping the post clean,  and not receiving nasty comments,  I have left it to everyone imagination

  1. Yarny version of the Calendar Girls perhaps? A good cause anyway.
