Hi
I wish all my Irish followers a very happy St Patrick’s day
Last year this was my clover leaf pattern and to remind you here is a copy of last years post that went with the picture
I made this tatted clover leaf, it’s my own pattern I threw together, I am calling it an Onion Ring clover leaf, it’s in development as you could say, needs a few finishing touches perhaps a few more stitches to make it bigger, but for today it will do. It’s onion ring leaves and a spiral chain for the stalk. I used Lizbeth no 20 thread in Christmas green mix, I am running out of dark green, so I used this varigated thread instead. I will write my pattern out at some point
Here is this years clover leaf, yes I have made it bigger and added a Josephine knot on the tips of the clover leafs. I promised to write out the pattern ( only taken a year, better late than never) again I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Christmas green mix.
No 1 which is the picture at the top of the page
Onion ring leaf pattern no one
Ring 5 - 5
Row 1, 10 + (attach to the picot at the top of the ring). vsp 19
Row 2 15 + (again attach to the top of the last row). vsp 15
Row 3 20 + as before p 20
*** vsp chain 4 and then do the pattern again for the next onion leaf , then chain 4 join at the base of the chain and Repeat the onion leaf again making three onion leaves **
Stalk is a spiral chain to whatever length you want.

Row2 17 + ( attach to p on the top of the chain) vsp 17
Row 3 22 + ( attach to p on the top of the chain ) JR 8 22
Repeat ** to **
Stalk is a spiral chain again to what ever length you want
Sorry I am no good at doing diagrams, but I am sure you can make it with these directions
Abbreviations
vsp - very small picot
- - picot
+ - join
JR - Josephine knot
Enjoy the pattern
Margaret
