November Pinterest challenge by the Pin Chicks - updated with photos

Hi,
I must apologise at the start that I was trying to post this last night and the laptop decided that it would not work,  so reduced to the iPad and unable to post the photos which I have already put on the laptop.  So here is my post now with photos hope you like them.
I have this month only done very small butterflies and put them together into a set of blank cards.  As I have been going to the hospital for injections in my eye tatting has not been as easy to do as usual so here is what I managed this month.  I used up many bits off my shuttles to make these butterflies.

Card number one
This is a set of Onion Ring Butterflies,  the colours used are white, purple, falling leaves, Christmas red and Green Coral Sea all in no 20 thread.  Link to the pattern

Below two close up pictures of the butterflies

Card number two
This is a set of Tat off Butterfly by the tatting player  the colours used were white, falling leaves,  Christmas red, and purple all in no 20 thread link to the pattern

Below a close up of the butterfly on the card

Card number three
This set is from a pattern which Carollyn found on Pinterest earlier this month and I asked if she would mind if I used it for my pin challenge.   Colours used were white, Niagara Falls, Christmas red and juicy watermelon.

Below a close up of the one of the butterflies

Here is a picture of the pattern.

Sorry I speak Japanese so I have no idea who designed it but as Carollyn shared the pattern on her blog I am doing the same.

All the butterflies are from pinterest and use up so little thread, and were easy to make there will be a lots more of these butterflies.  Sorry my tatting may not be prefect but I have done my best with an eye that really on some days does not want to focus.
The cards are cream card stock with a backing paper and trimmed with glittery peel offs and a spray of leaves die cuts of which Suzanne will recognise,  thanks Suzanne,   the butterflies were glued onto the cards.

Do pop over and see what the other ladies have done,   I am sure whatever it is it will be good and better than I have achieved this month.

CD Sunday Challenge - White Christmas

Hi,
This fortnight its my challenge and being so near to christmas I choose White Christmas for the CD Sunday Challenge.
For this card I used the background from Glitter and Glitz CD by Debbi Moore Art Deco Christmas CD.  and the image is from Joanna Sheens Thomas Kinkade which I decoupage and glittered,  I matted the image on silver card,  this is a new type of card that does not shed its glitter from the The Works,  I also die cut the trees from it,  they are from Creative Expressions and the Lamppost is from the new range from Polkadoodles which I added a piece of silver in the lamp,  I also cut some trees in white card and glittered them,  finishing off with a silver peel off and a red ribbon bow.  (Its a well glittered card)
I hope you will not only visit the CD Sunday Challenge site,  remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

A little bit of tatting

 Hi,
This is a scheduled post as you read this I am having my third injection in my eye in Sheffield,    This is just a bit of tatting that I have done over the last few months,   Not a lot as they say.
Above is my spinning wheel mat, pattern by Mary Konior from the book Tatting With Visual patterns by Mary Konior,  I used Lizbeth No 20 Falling Leaves.
The cross I did on holiday back in September,   the pattern is called cross of sevens by Robin Perfetti, I used Lizbeth Green Coral Sea No 20.

And lastly this is my snowflake the 14th Day of December which is in Lizbeth no 20 white,    I doubt if I will finish this year long 24 snowflake challenge over on Craftree.  We are using the book 24 Snowflakes in Tatting by Lene Bjorn.
I have days when my eye just wont let me do much tatting.  Hopefully after these injections I might be able to get back to more tatting.

Hope you are keeping well and until we meet again take care

          Hugs

Happy Birthday Vernon

Hi,
Today is my husbands birthday,  I used a new CD which I recently brought.   This is Novembers image and I thought it was a lovely image,  the CD I used  for the image and backing paper was from A walk in the countryside by Creative Crafting.
I matted the image which I decoupaged on red glitter card and the ribbon piece from the picture I used to place the peel off words and matted that on the same red glitter card.   I finished off the card with red ribbon.
I am pleased with this card and I hope he will like it.
Its turned very cold over the last few days and there has been snow in various parts of the UK,  as we are travelling up to Sheffield again next week,  just hope the weather improves.
Until we meet again take care
                               Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine

Hi,
This fortnight the Challenge over at the CD Sunday Challenge is Sparkle and Shine chosen by Wynn.
I used for the backing sheet from Glitter and Glitz by Debbi Moore Art Deco Christmas CD.   Its raining Snowflakes,   I used what can only be called poetic licence when I made this card, yes well no one knows if there's was trees near the stable,  but in my card I have put die cut trees from Creative Expressions,  and the nativity was a die set I won on Facebook from Trimcraft,  I cut all the trees and nativity out of glitter card in silver, green and black,  and used a piece of silver miri card at the bottom.   This card was hard to photo so I hope you can see the glitter and shine,
I hope you will not only visit the CD Sunday Challenge site,  remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Remembrance Day.

Today is a day we should never forget,  I wear my poppy with pride as both my parents were in World War Two, both have died but I still remember what they did in the war.  Hopefully one day there will be peace in the world, may not be in my lifetime but one day perhaps.

Tree Man

Hi
We pass this piece of sculpture quite often so I thought I would take a picture to show you.  There used to be a row of trees up the this house on the road leading into Midsomer Norton where we go shopping.  They cut down the row of trees and left this one at the beginning of the driveway.  Then someone really clever cut it into a shape of a man and put the jacket on him.  Now he stands at the beginning of their driveway,  it's a shame to cut trees down but I am glad they made the trunk into something for everyone to admire.
Have a nice day
