I am going over to Brussels to see it in August and will post the pictures when I came back
Until then hope you are enjoying the heatwave  .... I am not,  I cant knit its just too hot,  so my knitting has been put on hold,   I only tat for a short while my hands just get too hot so I am doing some embroidery which I will show you.  unfortunately the heat and Fibromalgia don't mix  yet when I go into Europe the dry heat does not affect me but this heat we are having in the UK is just tooo much.   My plants would love some rain and at the point of writing this today Friday for this to go live on Sunday,   we have not had any for some time although storms are forecasted so now I have written this,  it might rain.
Have a lovely weekend

Hi,
Time for another challenge at Back to Basics,  and this fortnight its use an embossing folder.
For this card I used an Apple Blossom THAT all occasion embossing folder,   this is a very useful folder and can be used in so many ways,   I have used it for a christmas card,   I used a blue holographic card,  I used a white card with blue with blue stars for the embossing folder,  I made a spray of blue feathers,  white poinsettia die cut flowers and blue ribbon.  I used blue peel off dots along the middle and finished off with a gold happy christmas.

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes

Hi,
Time for another challenge and this week it is Meg's turn and her choice is Anything goes, as long as a CD is used somewhere on the card.
For my card I wanted to do something different and I choose to do a spotlight card.  I used Pollyanna Pickering Farmyard Days CD from Creative world,  I printed out the image in black and white and then another one in colour.  I cut a circle from the colour image and place it over the black and white image.  I matted the image onto silver card and then on a dark blue card.  The backing paper also came from the same CD.
I made some parchment feathers spray and added a blue bow to the spray of feathers,  I finished the card off with another blue bow of ribbon and corner peel offs.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Summer Posy Ice Drops

Hi,

This lovely weather and heatwave goes on,  they say next week will be cooler,  I know my poor garden needs water and the plants are looking at haven for some rain.  so far we had two showers last Friday that just wet the ground.
Today I am showing two ice drops I made these are what I am calling summer posy drop,  I did spring a few months ago and are planning to make a set,  so this is summer with a flower charm,  I used Lizbeth thread no 20 Juicy Watermelon.  The pattern is called Posy Ice drop by Nicola Bowersox.
Hope you are enjoying this fabulous weather

Mr Frog

Hi,

Heat goes on,   this is Mr Frog he likes to stay in one of my plant pots on the patio,  when I water he jumps out,  looks at me and disappears into the rocky,  well the other night we had another one jump out of a another pot, so now we have tow frogs living on the patio and its nice no slugs. So I am not complaining about him.  Here he is,  hes not the best thing to photo and where he is, is not the best place.
Hopefully I can get the post about Croatia done,  its been so hot,  not complaining,  its just sapping my energy.
Have a good weekend

Back to Basics Challenge - A Simple Stepper card

HI,
I hope you are enjoying this heatwave,  long may it last and we have a good summer for a change.  When writing this post it is 29c and its getting hotter.
Today we have another challenge at Back to Basics,  a simple stepper card.   I used a pink card which has a fleck in it,  and cut out a simple stepper card.  The image is from Cup Cake  Crafting its been in my box for a while so it was nice to use to make this card.  I decoupage the image with four layers,  at the sides I used a flower die strip and placed pink gems in the centers,  and a die cut butterfly and placed two gems on the body.  Finishing off the card with a pink bow and peel offs happy birthday.

We would be delighted to see you are there is a the Back to Basics and beyond challenge blog and here is a link to the blog

CD Sunday Challenge - A Gardeners World

Today we have a new challenge at the CD Sunday Challenge blog and its Pamela's choice,  which she has chosen A Gardeners world.
For my card for this challenge I have done an image and backing paper from One Summers Day by Joanna Sheen.  I matted the image onto blue card, and using the backing paper to match the image.
I put two sprays of Parchment flowers on this card top and bottom of the image, I used the Garden Creations 3d flower CD by Maria Maidment,  these flowers have several layers and I put silver stamens in the middle I used blue velvet ribbon and white flourish spray die with the green parchment leaves from the same CD.

Happy American Independence Day

Hi,
Happy American indepencance  Day to all my American followers and friends.
Today is my birthday,  I won't say how old I am but it's just another little milestone into old age.
We are going out today and enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having over the last week here in the UK,  we don't get the lovely hot dry weather that many parts of Europe enjoy,  no ours is a wet heat that makes you feel totally worn out before you even get out of bed.
I hope you all have a great day.
Hugs
Margaret
