Knitted tablecloth

 Hi,

I don’t think I have put this knitted tablecloth on my blog before, I knitted this cloth years ago,  and up to last Monday has been on my dinning room table for a few weeks.  Having washed it and ironed it, I thought as I have nothing else to put on my blog I would show you this cloth.

Many of you  know I do knitted lace,  this cloth is a pattern from the Anna Magazine possibly 1970 to 1990s   It was knitted with no 20 merchandised cotton,  which I think was coats and I think the colour was called coffee and cream.  It’s 29 inches in diameter,    It was hard to photo and show you a more detailed picture but I hope you can see the pattern.   The number of stitches started with eight in the middle and finished off at around 1,000.

..

I do enjoy making the knitted lace and they are not hard once you master knitting on a set of four needles to start with and then transferring on to a round needle.
Hope you enjoy looking at the photos
Please stay safe and well,  I don’t think this virus is going away anytime soon.

Hot Hot and very Hot

 Hi,

Usually I have something to put on my blog,  I seem to have slowed up over the last few weeks,  but this last week,  the heat,  yes very unusual for me the heat just took over.

The weather forecast said extreme heat for the South West of England where I live and they were not wrong,  it was extreme.  My body just gave up,  I ended up just sitting no tatting, crochet and just a few rows of knitting in the evening.  My craft room was so hot I could not do any card making,  there's at least four cards waiting to be finished or even started as I have printed work for them to be done.   Hopefully as it cools down I can get them and get back to crafting.

Today is a lot cooler but we have had thunderstorms on Friday most of the night and last night,  today is a lot more comfortable and I am feeling better,. The heat played on my fibromyalgia and made me feel quite poorly.  Hopefully back to crafting this next week.

I am knitting some baby clothes for a new arrival in Vernons family,  and then my hairdresser said she was expecting as well,  so the knitting needles will be busy for a little while.

I hope you are all well,  staying safe and cool.

Blue Pool

Hi,

I am very behind with my blog,  last month we had a few days away and visited the Blue Pool again,  last time we went the owner had died the day before,  I can now say that it has been brought by a new owner.  The Pool is a scientific importance so I am pleased it will remind as it is.

T/his visit the Rhododendrons were out in full flower,  They were beautiful and several different colours,

Here is a link on our last visit we did last September,

We had another go at a selfy,  yes he was smiling and looking happy with his mask put around the bottom of his neck.
We did enjoy our visit,  lovely to go and see the place,  beings back a few memories for me when I was working down there and walked the dog around the pool every day.

Hope you are staying safe and well,  with everything opening up this week and the new cases going sky high,  I can see us being back in lockdown again.

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes # 64 and Happy American Indepence Day

 Hi,

Firstly I would like to wish all my American Followers and friends a Very Happy Independence day,  Its also my birthday today, its a bank holiday in America and when I worked in the City of London all the American firms would have their flags flying,  walking to work it was nice to have the flags flying, unfortunately I had to work, cant have it all, as they say.

Its time for another challenge from the CD Sunday,  as usual its anything goes as long as its from a CD,USB or digital material,  this fortnight Jocelyn is hosting the challenge.

My card this fortnight is from Magical Christmas Moments CD by Cupcake crafting,  I found this beautiful image which I thought would be perfect for christmas,  Using  the image and matching backing papers,   I matted the image onto Hunkydory royal blue miri card,  and  also cut the christmas die Tatted lace die from it.  I finished off the card with peel offs and a matching blue bow.
