My garden

Hi,
I took these picture before the storm hit last weekend,  it’s a good job I did,   it’s done nothing but rain all week and windy.  Above is my agapanthus,  I have two pots but this year this is the only one that has flowered,  and it is a better flower than last year.

This year I have tried to grow dwarf runner beans, so far I have had a few beans off the pot but with the heavy thunder rain and wind some of the flowers have been washed off,  I am hoping for a good crop,  well maybe.

This is Evening primrose and it’s gone mad,  it’s a funny plant,  no idea where it came from,  it’s just appear some years ago,  there’s one thing it will decide where to grow,  if you re plant it,  it dies,  it just seeds itself,  it’s has lovely yellow flowers that just keep on flowering all summer into winter,  when it dies back they are coming out,  but no doubt there will be some seed and will grow next year.  I rather like the plant and the colour but don’t underestimate it,  it has a mind of its own,  you can’t tell it where you want it,

Well that’s just a few plants in my garden at the moment.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend,  all it’s done today is rain.

Stay safe and well

Margaret

  1. We need rain, but it’s not necessarily good for the plants! We have agapanthus but it won’t flower until later in the year.

  9. Hello Margaret, I have not visited for some time now. Glad to see what you have been up to. The Agapanthus is beautiful and it put a smile on my face reading about the evening primrose. We are accustomed to rain and heavy thunderstorms here and the lightning can be frightful. It has been pretty windy too as I see my hanging plants swaying. Have another great weekend ahead.
