Christmas tatting

 Hi,

This Christmas all my tatting has been on the dark side,  I was asked for two purple ice drops as above,  she decided on two different threads both Lizbeth no 20 in Purple twist and Iris Fusion.

Then she asked for two ring donuts again in purple,  but larger for this one I used Purple Splendor,  thus is my own pattern and came out at just over 3 inches .

The second one well it curled up,  I can only think that because I was rushing it i tatted it too tight,  after cutting off two rounds I changed the last round a bit and yes it laid flat  for this one I used Iris Fusion.

Having finished with purple (not my favourite colour) I went on to red for my sister in law,  she likes either all white or all red,  this is the third day of December from the book 24 snowflakes by Lene Bjorn.  Christmas red thread by Lizbeth no 20.  Yes I made a mistake there are seven arms not six but I like it and it’s just a little bigger,  as she has a big real tree at Christmas it will look fine.

Now I am going to tat some white snowflakes,  before stating a large tatting project.

Hope you are having a lovely Christmas and stay safe and well

Margaret
