Birthday Card

Hi,
This is a birthday card I made for my sister in law Dee,   she likes Art Deco so I made her this card,  I hope it arrives in time for her birthday.
I used Art Deco Timeless Keepsakes CD,  for the image and the backing paper,    I matted the images onto pink miri card and the smaller images I raised up on pads to give the images a little depth.  I added a ribbon down the side.

I chose for this challenge Art Deco,  from the CD Art Deco - Timeless keepsakes card creations,  this is one of my favorite CD's.  I used the image and matching backing paper for the card,  matted the images on silver card and used a piece of lace across the card.  I finished off the card with Art Deco peel offs.
I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

CD Sunday Challenge - Lets Shape it up

 Hi,
This fortnight its my challenge for the CD Sunday Challenge Blog it Lets shape it up and being my first ever challenge I wanted something to wow you all,  and I hope this card is a wow.
Firstly I used the Glitter girls fan board,  its ages since I used any boards as they were hard to get at when all my stuff was in a boxes in the lounge, now I have a craft room well they are there to use.
I made the card in the shape of a Fan and then made another fan card out of miri card,  and put it though my die cutting machine with an embossing flower folder.  Then I cut out three panels and put in an image from the Art Deco Timeless Keepsakes CD,  Placed real lace around the top and stuck the miri card fan to the fan shape card making it a topper.   I then used peel off lines around the panels.  Made some parchment feathers and use one real feather with the parchment feathers for the spray placing paler blue roses and ribbon in the spray,  I was going to use a darker blue roses but it looked too dark so I used the paler blue, and added a bow on the card.   Here's a side view picture, it does stand up.

Please do pop over and see the other cards from the design team,  they are totally gorgeous and if you fancy joining in here is a link to the CD Sunday Challenge blog,  and if you feel like joining us please feel free we would love to see you.

Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - the three D's

 Hi,
Another post today,  this time its my card for the CD Sunday Challenge, and this week its the three D's,
1.   DL card,   for my followers who don't make cards that the shape of              the card
2.  Decoupage
3.  Die cuts.

Well this is my 3 D's card, I used the Art Deco Timeless Keepsake CD for the image and backing sheet.  matted the image on a gold card and then a pink card to match the colour of the art deco lady.  I decoupage the image with several layers.  My die cuts were from a friend who sent me the chandelier and the corner pieces.  I made a tiny bow for the top of the chandelier.
I dont know what I would do without my friends sending me the diecuts thank you you are wonderful.

Hope where ever you are you are safe and not flooded and if are going away you arrived safely.   The weather has improved but its still windy but at least the sun has been shining.  There's another storm coming in on Friday I hope it wont pick up half the Atlantic Ocean and dump it on us again, because this small island will be floating.
Take care

Emma's Challenge - Art Deco

 Hi,

From a very cold, dull and dark as well as snowing at the moment Somerset,  Its thanks to Suzanne who found this challenge and gave me the link,  so here is my card for Emma's challenge this month of Art Deco. link to her blog

I printed off my art Deco lady from  the Art Deco Timeless Keepsake CD  and 3d her in her pink suit.  I used a poker dot paper from stock and the flourishes are from Suzanne who die cut them for me,  thank you Suzanne.  The flower is several layers of white, pink and brown poker dots and a glittery middle,  pink rose buds and a couple of leaves.   The pink ribbon is from Joanna Sheens on-line shop and then silver corner and line peel off to finish off the card.

I enjoyed making this card even though my mojo has gone and I have not been doing much crafting recently.

Hope where ever you are you are staying warm and cosy.
Until we meet again take care

1st Card of the year and update on the Tat along Mat

Hi,
Today was foggy so these pictures ended up with the flash working,  I have done a cock up I did Art Deco for the Sunday CD Challenge its not its Art Nouveau,  so one card that's not correct.  Oh well should have used the brain cell I blame the tablets.
Well this is the first card of the year.

The card was made from the Art Deco Timeless Keepsake CD, using an image and matching backing paper,  which I did an easel card.
The spray of flowers are some rose buds I brought on wires which I curled and let them spring from the spray,  die cut roses which I brought in the Garden Centre Millets near Abingdon which we visit when we go up and see Vernon's family.  small gold bead sprays and two coloured ribbon.
An Ivory ribbon and gold bead on the other side of the wonderful die embossed sheet and flourish which my friend Suzanne did for me.   thank you Suzanne yours pieces are wonderful
I finished the card off with gold peel off's and on the base another Ivory ribbon with a cream rose matching those on the spray,  with Happy Birthday in white lettering.
The ribbon is from Joanna Sheens on line shop

This is the tat along mat by Renulek you saw the first three rounds on the last post,   I said round four was big,  well this is as far as I have got half way,    I have worked out the colours for the Mayan tatting challenge,  and worked the pattern out yeah just got to tat it.   The TIAS starts tomorrow not sure what its going to be but that's half the fun.
Sorry Blogger is playing up so I hope you can read the first part of this post.
Until we meet again take care, keep warm.

The Sunday CD challenge - Pearls and Swirls

 Hi,
What a lovely day here in Somerset and no rain,  we seem to get one fine day and then half dozen days with rain.  I am going out tomorrow so its bound to rain on me, as it does every time I go out,  no wonder I cant get rid of my cold.

Today I bring you my card for this weeks Sunday CD challenge,  its Pearls and Swirls this week,  I had so many ideas and until I started the card well this is what I ended up with.
I used the Art Deco Timeless Keepsakes, somehow this challenge said to me Art Deco,    I printed out three images and matted them on gold miri board which has not come out very well,   perhaps because I took the photo in the sun.  I put the middle image raised up on 3d stickers so its give a bit of height.  I found this paper from my stock and it leaned its way nicely with the swirly pattern.  I added two white roses,  plus gold peel off swirls and a white hand made bow in the top corner.  The pearls are put in each corner of the middle image and two at the top of the side images.

I had a great surprise yesterday and I feel on top of the world,   I had a very late birthday present of a silver dollar, from my penfriend Lou in America.   Thank you Lou you have made my year.
My silver dollar was in my purse where I have kept it since I was given it when I was 21,   when we went to Majorca my purse was stolen and with it the silver dollar,  after all the years of travelling I learnt one lesson don't take it with you.  She found a 1974 silver dollar, and this will be put in my purse  I was told when I was given it that keeping it in my purse meant I would always have money,  and it will stay home when I go abroad.   I don't want to lose it again.   I never thought I would ever get another.
I hope the sun is shinning where ever you are.
Take care
