Hi
I have joined the crazy, well not exactly but I keep buying them for my grand daughter Bethany, last Friday she gave me a lesson on how to make a bracelet and key ring which is on my keys. This is the bracelet I made, I used a French Knitting holder under instruction and this is the result. She did tell me their is not a video on YouTube about using a French Knitting Holder, I think that was a hint, perhaps we will give it ago next time.
The shops are full of them, plain, spotty, and glittery ones, in every colour you can think of.
Hope you are having a nice weekend.
Hugs
Margaret

a lovely bracelet, we used to make the same from a cotton reel with 4 pins in the top and a length of wool lol.......it also got sewn into mats for the tea-pot.

I still have my French Knitting holders, they are an antique now. I made miles of knitting with them, its amazing how things come back in fashion

Hi Margaret. Well done. Looks great. My granddaughter came loaded with them on her last visit with me and I of course bought her more. Her Father told me later (quite forcefully) that I wasn't to buy her any more (I have bought a few 1000) as he had run out of arms, so had her Mother , Uncle and the the dog has a new collar.

Nice and bright! I didn't know you could use a French Knitting contraption to make them, I live and learn. I did laugh at Carol's comment.
ReplyDeleteSo did I, Bethany made my mothers toy dog that was sat on the settee the day they came over a bracelet and left it on his paw.
DeleteAh, yes, I have spent many hours with my eldest grandchild working out patterns for these... Many hours! : ))
ReplyDeleteYes I own one or two of those myself!

ReplyDeleteThose are fun to make! My granddaughter Eva really goes crazy making bracelets and charms on her loom.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to join the crazies....and try something new. Have fun!
