Hi,
Time for the Pinterest challenge by the Pin Chicks, this time I went for embroidery, and I found this charming little Japanese scene, usually they are embroidered in shade of blue, but I started off with green and then half way though decided perhaps I should have done it in shades of blue, But having started I finished it in colour and was going to do another one, time was not on my side so it never got done. This pattern is by QisforQuilter.com. I used two strands of embroidery silk and the stitches are straight stitch, French knots, lazy daisy stitch, stem stitch, and blanket stitch. The whole picture measures 6 ½ by 5 inches or 16 ½ by 12 ½ cms.
The only thing wrong with this pattern is the the ring in the middle of the chain is floppy there's nothing to hold it and these will have to stiffen to hold it into shape.
Here is the pattern
Then I had an idea, I put a larger picot on the center ring and added two beads which I connected to the otter ring, This holds the pattern together and stops the top ring and chain going out of shape. Again I added a small ring at the top to hold the ring and earring piece, I added two beads but three could be added if required.
Well thats my pieces for the challenge, I have no idea what the other ladies have done. I hope you will pop over and visit the other pin chicks and see what they have done for this challenge

You created very interesting beautiful pieces for the Japanese themed challenge. Great job stabilising the earrings.
ReplyDeleteLovely embroidery! I prefer the small ring like you do. I like how you put beads, prhaps the flower was supposed to be glued or sewed on something
