Happy birthday

Hi,
For five weeks I never went near my craft room,  but I needed to make a birthday card,  so last weekend I ventured in,  I must be feeling better because this is was I came up with.
The image and backing paper came from  Shoes in Bloom CD from Ooh La La creations,    the image I matted onto silver card,   the die cut shoe was a free die from a magazine,  and the velvet ribbon from stash.,  finished off with a silver peel off.

I hope she likes it,   I'm pleased I managed to find some mojo at last.   my mojo went walk about with the flu.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Polish Doily from Craftree

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago Fox said why don't I try to tat the doily she had given up on,  well then she sent me the pattern.  After looking at the pattern I thought why not try, so here is the start,  I used Lizbeth white in the middle and second round with Lizbeth purple both no 20.
So Fox here you are the start of it,  am not sure how far I will get or how long it will take me but looking at Wendy's gorgeous doily I am hoping I can finish it.
Watch this space as they say.
This is a scheduled post as I am in Sheffield finding out if the treatment has worked.

Robins Test tatting - Snowflakes

Hi,
It was a pleasure to test tat Robins new snowflake patterns,   I really enjoyed these patterns even though I was struggling with flu at the time,  and there were many days when I never even looked at my shuttles.
These two patterns are called Radiating clovers,  the patterns are clear with diagram and written instructions.
The top one is tatted with Lizbeth no 20 in white.
The blue one's pattern said to be tatted in size 40 to 80,  80 is impossible for my eyesight,  and having just finished the injections I had no idea if I could tat with size 40,   my stock of size 40 is very limited and I had no white so the nearest for a snowflake was this variegated blue,  its an old ball by coats colour number 168, no idea if thats the current number but thats whats on the ball.   My eyesight has improved and I tatted this snowflake without any problems,   I think I will be trying to tat with no 40 again soon.
Now for the cock up I never told Robin but this was my first attempt at her pattern,  I went sailing on, between coughing and feeling yuck,  it was all going wonderful until half way around the second round I look and found I had done seven rings in the middle and not six,   well I did finish the snowflake and to me it looks OK,  OK it has seven arms instead of six but whose counting.
Thank you Robin for letting me test your gorgeous patterns.

CD Sunday Challenge - When Autumn leaves start to fall

Hi,
Gosh the fortnights are going fast this year and here it is time for another challenge,  this time its Jocelyn's turn and she choose When Autumn leaves start to fall.
For this card I decided to try something different and do a tunnel card from the CD Walk in the countryside by Creative Crafting.  I do like this CD it has some beautiful images and each image can be used in different ways.
I added some flowers from stash, and a happy birthday peel off.
I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Challenge - For the Love of Dogs

Hi,
This fortnights challenge on the CD Sunday challenge blog is my choice,  I hope you enjoy my choice which is For the Love of Dogs.

For this challenge there will be an extra prize which has been donated to the team,  this tattered lace die will be an added prize to the winner of the challenge.

For this challenge I made an easel card and I wish they were easier to photo I used Pet set by La Pashe.   This being my favorite breed of dogs and having own several of them, when I saw this image well I just had to use it.
I used the backing paper which went with the image.
I matted the image on silver embossed card, added the die walking my dog which was free from Tatted lace magazine some months ago.  I have been treating my self to this magazine while I have been going through the eye treatment, well thats how I started buying it.   I added silver peel offs in the corners, I also used the smaller image inside the card which I matted on the same silver card.   and finished off the card with two small very dark blue ribbon.
I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

Have a lovely weekend
Hugs
