Square Eyes

Hi,

I have square eyes from Tatting the pink squares, they are for Tat a Brussels Monument in Pink project which was started by Cathy de Greef, the call for 10,000 squares has been taken up by tatters all over the world and has become a very international tatting project.
Why are we using just pink, pink was the colour used for women's marches.
Brussels is the capital of Belgium and also Europe and the place where leaders decide.
Bruges is welcoming an international lace congress in August 2018
As tatting is nearly not known in Belgium and not considered as lace or art, "Tat a monument in pink lace is a big opportunity to put the focus on tatting and on women's rights
All square will be assembled and sold in auction or given, if it is sold the UN Women will receive the money.
Here's is my contribution 24, 12 of each design.

I used Lizbeth thread no 20 called Pink Parade.
There are several monuments in Brussels so when I find out which one they are covering I will let you know,  I have been to Brussels many times as a child and many parts of Belgium.
Now it's been pink for weeks I really need to tat another colour unfortunately the polish doily which I have not touch while doing these squares is on a pink round,......looks like I will be back.tatting pink for a little while.
It may not be many but at the moment I have been in severe pain and I'm having an MRI next week hopefully it may find the problems.
In the meantime I hope you are well and have a nice weekend.

CD Sunday Challenge - Winter in the mountains

Hi,

Today is the latest challenge from the CD Sunday Challenge of which its my turn to choose a challenge,  and being winter I chose Winter in the mountains.
My image is a free image from google of Switzerland,  one of my favorite countries and its one of the Glacier Express in the snow,   I matted the image onto blue glitter card.
The backing paper came from the Crafters Compendium volume two,   I used some die cuts which were sent to me sometime ago,   I am sure the lady who sent them will recognize them,   I finished the card off with a blue bow and silver peel offs and golds gems.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Challenge - J is for.....

Hi,
This is the first challenge of the year and its going to be a good year for challenges at the CD Sunday.
This CD Sunday challenge starts the year off with Wynn and her choice is J is for...   and my J is Jelly beans
For this card I used House mouse Project book no 1 by Joanna Sheen,  for the image and backing paper.   I matted the image onto to silver pattern card along with a small picture in the left hand corner and the Jelly bean jar in the far right bottom.   Added some yellow ribbon down the side with a bow.

Christmas Cards

 Hi,

These are a few christmas cards I made for the family and Special friends,  I thought I would make one post of some of them,

I used the same image which came on a sheet with several of the same design but in different shapes.  I used a winters walk in the countryside CD by Creative Crafting.

This tunnel card came for a Walk in the Countryside CD by Creative Crafting

And Finally this card came from the Shoes in Bloom CD by Ooh La la Creations which my grand daughters had.

That finishes my christmas posting for 2017,
Hope you had a lovely New Year.

Polish Doily from Craftree Update

Hi,

Here is the latest on the Polish doily from Craftree,   This is the ninth row completed and I used the purple lizbeth thread,   the light has been too bad to sew in the ends hopefully by the next update I will have found some good light.   Thats two rounds in each colour and I am now on the 10th round back to pink,   The chains are pulling themselves straighter now with the weight of the more rows and its looking a lot better in the shape too.   There's a little more to do I'm hoping the colour scheme will be ok.

Hope you had a lovely christmas and New Year.

                                     Hugs
