Hi,
Its finished not quite how I wanted it to look bit at least its done.
I started off with pink and yellow flowers, close up of the yellow flowers.
After doing the pattern until the point of adding the flowers, but then I found I had made a mistake somewhere, after cutting off the green rounds, and re-did it only to find the mistake must be in the coloured part, I found that I only needed seven flowers, what to do I had four pink and four yellow.
I did another three yellow flowers so now they are all yellow.
Now I finished the doily, on the 7th row I did the rings in the same colour as the middle.
Middle Lizbeth White
Center and 7th round Lizbeth Tropical Punch
The green is Lizbeth is Leaf Green Med.
Flowers Lizbeth White and Yellow
All the threads were no 20.
It was a good tat along might have looked better if I had found the mistake.
Hugs
Margaret
This is very beautiful and I was not completely happy with mine but the moment my sister in law saw it she claimed it over another. Sometimes I feel if I take too long to make something I dont want to see it again and there is nothing wrong, sorry I am carrying on to much.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty!!! 7 is my favourite number ;-P
ReplyDeleteWell done! Really pretty but by no means an easy tat. Good for you for finishing in spite of mistakes and having to redo parts.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely but I like it with the pink flowers in it as contrast as well.

My mom always said that mistakes are simply learning opportunities. Your doily is beautiful! If I hadn't been so caught up in other things, I think would have enjoyed this tat-along!
