CD Sunday Challenge Plus # 20 Anything goes

Hi
Time for another challenge at CD sunday plus,  again its anything goes,  as long as its something from either a CD, USB or a digital material,  this fortnight the challenge is hosted by Jane,

For this challenge I used the Roses CD by Robert Addams,  I did have trouble with this CD and windows 10,  I only got the rose image and a decoupage piece for the rose I could not get a backing paper,  rather than waste the image I have made this card into a CAS,  i matted the image onto embossed ivory card,  and decoupaged the rose, adding a bow and ribbon.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Parga ( Mainland Greece)

Hi                                                                                                           We have just come back from a lovely holiday in Parga which is in the main land north western part of Greece opposite Corfu.              Parga lies on the Ionian coast.  Its a very green and lovely town, plenty of shops and restaurants. We stay in the Villa Coralli Hotel picture above and at the side here,  It was a lovely hotel with only 20 rooms small clean and very friendly.

Views from our Balcony of the bay of Parga

This is a view of the castle at the top of the hill,  no way could I walk up there as its steep with steps all the way.
It was used to protect the town from Invasions and built in the 11th century by the residents of Parga.  I\t has a checker history and before reconstruction in 1572 by the Venetians,  the turks demolished it once again,  The Venetians built it for the third time and last time making it stronger fortress and it stayed impregnable until 1819.  It was sold to the Ottomans,  today its a ruin.

This is a glass bottom submarine that goes around the bay and rocky islands,  I say its red and Vernon says its orange,  I will leave you to guess its colour.

Here are some pictures of the bay and the rocky islands surrounding

Every night we had these gorgeous sunsets,  this picture was taken from the restaurant where we had an evening meal most nights,

Parga by night taken from our balcony

Just so you know,  here we are enjoying a quite drink
We did a train ride which I will do another post about in the meantime I hope you enjoy the pictures of our holiday

CD sunday Plus Challenge - # 19 Anything goes

Hi,

Time for another challenge at CD sunday plus,  again its anything goes,  as long as its something from either a CD, USB or a digital material,  this fortnight the challenge is hosted by Carol.

For this card I found an image on Pinterest for the Queen of Hearts and used a backing paper from Click Print and Go My craft studio. I matted the image onto silver bushed miri card from Hunydoiry and t hen onto a dark blue piece of card.  The die cuts were from a friend which I silvered and finished off with a silver bow.

Travelling Lace

Hi,
On Craftree one lady produced  a piece of tatted lace which  is travelling the world,  and it’s my turn to have Lacy as she is called.  Eventually the owner of the lace is going to make up a book about her travels.
I live in Somerset so she been travelling around Somerset with me,  and at the moment she in Greece.

Firstly she went to Castle Cary.  Castle Cary is a small market town,  I took a picture with her of the roundhouse.  The roundhouse was an 18th Century prison,  this is a temporary prison or village lock up built in 1779 for £23.00 from money left to the poor of Castle Cary in 1805.  It is a circular stone structure and has a domed roof, 7ft in dia., and 10 feet high with two iron grills for ventilation, no windows and of course no electric as in those days there was no electric.

Her next journey took her to Wells.  Wells is an historic and Medieval city and the smallest city in England,  famous for the 13th Century Cathedral.
The picture is the Bishops Place Gate,  leading to the Bishops place unfortunately I could not walk any further due to server pain in my hip,  The Bishops place has been home of the Bishops and the Diocese of Bath and Wells for 800 years,  construction started in 1210 and is a grade one listed English Heritage buildings.

This is a picture of the Town hall in Well market Place,  fans of Poldark will recognise this building as it was used in the filming of the series of Poldark which unfortunately has now finished and the last episode was last Sunday and there will be no more.

And finally she visited Kilmesdon,  home of Jack and Jill the nursery rhyme.

Shes in Greece now next part of her journey when I get home

Hi,
This year is flying and its time for another challenge from the CD Sunday plus ,  we now accept not only CDS but also USB and digital material as long as you say where the material is from,  this challenge is hosted by Jocelyn.
By the time this post is published I will be on my way to Greece,
For this challenge I have used Pet set CD by La Pashe,  the Bounding Schnauzer image and backing paper,  I matted the image on silver Hunydory silver bushed miri card. The small hearts dies under the tatted lace die Pets make paw prints in our hearts was a free gift from Paper Inspiration.
I finished off the card with silver peel offs and a red ribbon.
