CD Sunday challenge- anything goes #166

Hi,

Another fortnight has flown by,  today we are due back off holiday,  so this post was scheduled before I went off to Europe,  the host this fortnight is me.

For my card this fortnight I made a plain, simple CAS card,  using Robert Addams roses CD for the red roses image.  I matted the image onto silver card, decoupaged the rose,  added a hand made red bow and words in peel offs.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page the challenge and do not have a blog,

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from,   and that it is a card or a project.    Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Challenge Plus # 20 Anything goes

Hi
Time for another challenge at CD sunday plus,  again its anything goes,  as long as its something from either a CD, USB or a digital material,  this fortnight the challenge is hosted by Jane,

For this challenge I used the Roses CD by Robert Addams,  I did have trouble with this CD and windows 10,  I only got the rose image and a decoupage piece for the rose I could not get a backing paper,  rather than waste the image I have made this card into a CAS,  i matted the image onto embossed ivory card,  and decoupaged the rose, adding a bow and ribbon.

CD Sunday Challenge - Bloomin' Marvellous

Hi,
Another beautiful day here in Somerset and the week looks set to be dry and fine, although chilly at night.  We are set to go to Sheffield later on in the week so no doubt it will be slightly colder up there. Hopefully the news on how my eye is doing will be good.
This fortnight the CD Sunday Challenge is Bloomin' Marvellous, and for this challenge I used Robert Addams Roses CD,  I used a red damask backing paper,  and then the strip down the side is from the red rose image,  the red rose image was matted onto a gold shiny card, and 3d.,   The cream Ivy leaves die cut is from a friend, she knows who she is and thank you.  The red and green spotty ribbon is from stock and the small red roses in the corner is also from some I brought a while ago.   There is room at the bottom for a sentiment which I have not decided on yet.
Hope you enjoy the weather this week,
Take care

The CD Sunday Challenge - Fine Plumage

 Hi,
I am a bit late with this card,  but its been a bad week with pain and not being very well,  even now my hubby is telling me I should be resting, but I wanted to get this card on before it was too late.   Would you believe I made it last sunday and here am I putting it on today, roll on the op.
This weeks challenge is Fine Plumage,  well I know its birds but I wanted to think outside the box,  and this is what I came up with,  A Plume of Feathers as a Fan.  This card seems to have it all,  the backing paper is from the Roses CD by Robert Adams.  The gold peel off was put onto parchment paper and embossed and coloured,  the pink and white feathers put behind it and then placed onto the card, with a gold hand holding it.  Glitter peel off edging,   and pink and white gems in opposite corners.   I did put a white ribbon on the card, but I think it might be better with a pink one. What do you think?
I love to visit all the other blogs in the challenge but so far I have not got to any of them, so if I don't get to visit your blog please accept my apologies
I hope you have a lovely weekend and the rain does not stop you doing what you want to do.   Until we meet again take care

The Sunday CD challenge - Ring of Roses

Hi
Its been a lovely sunny day today the nights have been very cold but the days have been cooler than of late. We managed to do some gardening, there's a lot to do, as I was unable to do any last year, at least we have made a start and hopefully the garden will start to look a lot better this year.
I have not done the challenge over the last few weeks as I was not well, apart from my stomach I am beginning to feel better, so here is this weeks challenge card.
This week the Sunday CD challenge is Ring of Roses, link to the blog here
My card is from the Roses CD by Robert Addams, its a lovely Cd full of gorgeous roses images.
I used this yellow peace rose and backing paper to match, I matted it on gold miri board and 3d the rose. I was going to make some roses but I did not have any ribbon to match the picture so I used two white ones and coloured them with pro makers, I added ribbon and some silk leaves to the side of the image. Place a white ribbon and bow down the side and finished off the card with gold peel offs and a few small butterflies.

We are forecasted to get rain tonight, although we are not short they have today announced that we are now in drought, there is not enough water in the rivers and wetlands to support the wildlife. Some areas of the UK have been in drought for a few weeks and have had there fish taken out of the rivers due to a shortage of water in the rivers.
I hope you had a lovely weekend, and until we meet again take care.
Hugs

The CD Sunday Challenge - A La Mode

Hi,
Today I bring you my card for the Sunday CD Challenge link here this week its A La Mode, I was not sure about what to do with this challenge. I used a blank white scalloped card and in the end I used Robert Addams Roses CD, for the backing paper and the pink rose ( I think its the wrong shade of pink) I only used part of the rose decoupage so I can make another card with the remaining pieces. I used the shoe from a pack of cards in the shape of shoe, I cut one in half and used just one side. The feathers I had in my craft box, the pale pink ribbon I placed under the ribbon roses top and bottom of the shoe, place a doily under the shoe for the lace effect and then used the heart ribbon and cut into pieces putting a heart on the roses and at the top where I put Mother for the wording, I thought it would make a nice mothers day card. This heart ribbon I found in a craft shop its brilliant you don't need to use a lot and its cuts into little hearts so my few meters is going a long way. I finished off the shoe and the card with gold peel offs.
Its not my usual card but its nice to try something different for a change.

Until we meet again take care and keep warm.
Hugs

The CD sunday challenge - just because

Hi,
Well the sun has now come out to play, they said it would be cloudy all day, but its nice to see the sun shine. We have had the coldest summer on record since 1993 and the its been wet, funny we had the warmest spring on since records began this year followed by the coldest summer, and they say we are having global warming!!!!
Today I bring you my card for the Sunday Cd challenge this week its Just because, so I thought of a red rose for my card. I used Robert Adams Roses CD for the roses image and backing sheet, I added the words from the computer, a piece of lace for down the side and red ribbon, with two red heart gems, finished off with gold peel offs.

I do like this Cd there are some lovely real life roses on it in so many different colours. Its a really good CD and a real must in my collection.

Its nearly a week since I had the latest operation, its still sore but they did go down so deep when they cut. I am trying to be good and not bend down, reach up, etc I just wish I did not feel so cold all the time, and not feeling very well. The surgery wondered if I had an infection but the scar is clean and looking good so they say, I cant see it as its on my back. So they have taken a blood test today to see if I have an infection.

I hope you like my challenge card today, and that you are keeping well, until we meet again in blog land take care

Hugs

Vernons Valentines Day Card

Hi,
Happy Valentines Day, I hope you are having a great day. I thought it was a lovely day with the sun shinning for a change after it rained all day yesterday. I suddenly looked out and it was raining, I had washed one of my settee covers and put it out for some fresh air, only to get wet, never mind its on the radiator now, so it wont take too long to dry.
I made this card for my husband Vernon, hes not into valentines day his opinion is that valentines day is for lovers and not married people. Every year I get the some conversation about how valentines day was originally intended for lovers and cards were sent secretly to someone who you liked or loved. Well this wife is a bit of a romantic at heart and she likes to show him that she does love him.
This year I made the card simple and put an image from the Robert Addams Roses CD, there are some great rose images on it. Then put the bunnies at the top looking over the image, the sentiment also comes from the same stamping block "Some bunny love you" they are a Dawn Bibby design range. I just added red ribbon and gold peel off to finish the card off. The insert had to be hand written as with Vernon home and not being very well I could not do it on the computer.
I had a bad period of pain end of last week, Vernon stayed home Thursday and Friday, the gall bladder was swollen, hard to touch and I had a hard lump come up. The lump went down after a few hours. I felt really ill for a few days, Vernon does not like leaving me when I am really bad, its nice of him to stay home to be honest I was glad, the days are long on my own. My next appointment with the surgeon is on the 2nd March, it seems so far away.
I am hoping he will do something now and hopefully the tests he has done will be clear. Just got to try and keeping going, I am signed off until the 9th March, so hopefully by then we should have some news.
I hope you have a lovely valentines day, hope to see you soon in blog land.
take care
Hugs
