CD Sunday plus challenge # 43 Anything goes

Hi,
Time for another challenge at CD Sunday plus as usual it is anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB or digital material.  This fortnight the challenge is hosted by Carol.

For my card I used the Royal Horticultural Society CD by Joanna Sheen,  I used the backing and matching image,   I matted the image onto black shinny card, and decoupaged the image,  I added a spray of orchids in the corner of the back page of the fold card,  these were from the same image sheet, and added a bows of ribbon.

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Embroidery pillow case

 Hi,

Something different I was given an embroidery kit by a friend, she thought it was too hard for her,  it’s taken a while because I was only doing it in the very hot weather when it’s too hot to knit or tat.

The pattern had cross stitch leaves but when I did them they did not look good and certainly not in keeping with the flowers,  the flowers were complicated and  I even changed the middle flower to look like the two side ones and even it up a bit,  I did unpick some of the cross stitch leaves  I had done and resigned them into more embroidery and in keeping with the flowers.  It turned into a longer job than I thought,  but now I have completed one the second one will be easier by just coping this one.

The kit is called florentine border by Bucilla no 63328.

Harmony doily

 Hi

I found I have not posted this piece of tatting before,  this is now row 5,  the pattern is called Harmony by Tat-a-rend,  there are eight rows in all.  I am really enjoying this pattern,  it’s straight forward and no difficult bits in it.

I am using Lizbeth thread no 20 in White and spring garden.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend

Happy Wedding Anniversary

 Hi,

Yesterday was our 18th wedding anniversary but as I had a card scheduled to go on the blog,  and I don’t like doing two posts in one day,  I have left it until today to post this card.

I wanted something male and not too fussy so I used a die from the Entwined collection heart by Leonie Pujol and this die is called Funky heart - hearts and swirls.  I cut one out in gold and then cut another one in red and put the gold into the red part of the die,  there was also swirly bits with this die which I cut in gold and red and left hanging in parts of the heart.  Did I say I did not want a fussy card,

I used a embossing folder of hearts down one side in grey to bring out the red and gold,  and matted it all onto a Hunkydory cream embossed card,  which does not show up in the photo. The butterflies are from Apple Blossom Floral framed collection which I also cut in gold card.  Finishing off with  red heart gems,  and red ribbon.

We had a lovely day pity the weather was not the same,  it was muggy and humid compared with the beautiful sunny day we had.

CD Sunday plus challenge - Anything goes # 42

Hi,

Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday challenge blog,  as usual it is Anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB or Digital material,  This fortnight the challenge is hosted by Jocelyn.

For my card this fortnight I have used a backing sheet from House Mouse Triple CD collection No 3 Christmas.   I used two dies one is Creative Expressions festive collection winter Trees,  and X cut christmas scene,  which I decoupage,  enhanced with silver glitter.  Behind the christmas scene die is a picture of the northern lights which I took on holiday last year in Norway.   I matted the die and picture onto silver bushed miri card by Hunkydory.  added a white ribbon down the side of the card and added a silver happy christmas peel off.
