CD Sunday Challenge - # 68 Anything goes

Hi,

Here we are at the end of August,  its been a wet month, hopefully September will be better,  Its time for another challenge at the CD Sunday and this fortnight I am the host.

For my card for this challenge I used Royal Horticultural Society CD,  for the image and backing paper.  I used this orchid image,  orchids arfe my passion.  I matted the images on gold bushed miri card from Hunkydory and placed them at an angles.  I finished off the card with gold peel offs and a pink ribbon bow

19th Wedding Anniversary

Hi,

Today is our 19th Wedding Anniversary,  this the card I made for Vernon,  yes it’s pink our wedding colours were pink, gold and cream, now I see it in a photo  perhaps I over did the pink?

The  pink miri  card is from Hunkydory,  and the twin heart die is a tattered lace die,  the backing paper is glittery and I found in my stash,  yes I had forgotten all about this lovely paper I brought a long time ago in various colours.,  I cut a heart in the Miri board and put  the words happy anniversary etc in gold peel offs.,  finishing off the card with a pink ribbon.

I hope he likes his card.

Spring Garden Doily

 Hi

At last I have finished my doily pattern by Daniela Mendola, this is a lovely pattern, I did enjoy making it,  I have slowed up with my tatting the arthritis in my hand has been painful recently,  I have also been concentrating on some knitting for a baby due in Vernon’s family,  I will be showing it when it’s finished and received.  As the doily is for me tge one little mistake won’t matter,  one of the over lapping chains decided to change over, I only found it three rows further on,  never mind it does nit show that much .

I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Spring Garden.

Link to the press the picture above for pattern and Daniela blog is http://DanielaMendola.blogspot.com  do go and have a look at her great blog

My garden

Hi,
I took these picture before the storm hit last weekend,  it’s a good job I did,   it’s done nothing but rain all week and windy.  Above is my agapanthus,  I have two pots but this year this is the only one that has flowered,  and it is a better flower than last year.

This year I have tried to grow dwarf runner beans, so far I have had a few beans off the pot but with the heavy thunder rain and wind some of the flowers have been washed off,  I am hoping for a good crop,  well maybe.

This is Evening primrose and it’s gone mad,  it’s a funny plant,  no idea where it came from,  it’s just appear some years ago,  there’s one thing it will decide where to grow,  if you re plant it,  it dies,  it just seeds itself,  it’s has lovely yellow flowers that just keep on flowering all summer into winter,  when it dies back they are coming out,  but no doubt there will be some seed and will grow next year.  I rather like the plant and the colour but don’t underestimate it,  it has a mind of its own,  you can’t tell it where you want it,

Well that’s just a few plants in my garden at the moment.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend,  all it’s done today is rain.

Stay safe and well

Margaret
