Art Deco cards

 Hi,

While away,  I sat and did 7 cards,  I did the backing papers and images,  I could not take everything with me,  the flowers ribbons and any other embellishments,  but I got the basic design work done over two afternoons,  I surprised myself on how much I did including buying some more card stock and using a few to make a couple more cards.  

Above is one of the art deco cards I made,  using Debbi Moore’s Romance CD,  for the backing paper and left over images from another card,  matted  them  onto Hunkydory gold Miri card,  I added at home blue silk flower’s,   a blue and white feather and silvery blue ribbon,  using size 8 x 8 card.

This is another art deco card,  also started while I was away,  a small one 6 x 6 again using the same CD,  this was a left over image which I matted onto Hunkydory gold  Miri card,  and added a simple hand made gold bow.

Art Deco cards

 Hi,

After the beautiful weather we have been having,  the weather has decided to give us showers,  my garden like thousands of others were crying out for rain,  of course the weeds will enjoy growing faster,  I have been working on some Art Deco cards, for my esty shop,  but first of all the card above was a competition card for Debbi Moore’s birthday competition.

I did also put this car in the competition,  this is a more of a simpler card,

This is was a colour I don’t usually use but I am very pleased how it worked out.  This has a blue spray of flowers and a white feather and blue and white roses o and blue ribbon.

This is the final one,  again I did a spray of red roses and buds with a red feather and ribbons

All cards were made with Debbi Moore Art Deco Romance CD background papers and images, with feathers and roses plus ribbon came from stash.

CD Sunday challenge - anything goes #126

Welcome to our first challenge of 2024,  this year we have two new members,  Meg who is rejoining us again and  Aimes which you possibly know as Aimeslee who has been contributing to our challenges for years,  as usual our challenges are anything goes,  as long as it’s a CD, USB, or digital material.  The host this fortnight is Pamela 

For my card I have chosen to do an art deco card,  using Art Deco Romance CD form Debbi Moore,  fo the image and backing paper,  I added a spray of feathers, die flourish’s and ribbon roses.  I also matted the images  red Miri card,  the dies used are Fanciful flourish’s from Cherry lane  designs,  Leafy flourish signature collection crafters companion.

Winning card

Hi,

It was a great surprise that my card as above was one of the winning cards that won the Debbi Moore 11th year competition,  which I entered back in May this year.  I received my  wonderful prize last Thursday,  The  card was made from the CD Art Deco Romance by Debbi Moore,  I originally posted this card on the 31st May which was the date the competition closed.

I thought I would update you because I never posted how the card got on,  I do love Art Deco and her CDs contain some truly beautiful art work.

11th Birthday competition

Hi,
I hope you are all stay and well,  we have had some lovely weather in the UK over the last week,   As I love Art Deco,  it will be no surprise to you that I have entered another one of Debbi Moore competitions,  this is her 11th year with her company Debbi Moore Designs,  and her competition for her 11th year was to make a card using one of her designs.
I used her Art Deco Romance CD,  for the image and backing paper,  matted the image onto lilac card  and used pads to raise the image up,  added a feather,  three ribbon roses and two bows of ribbon with some pearls in two corners.


I had some bits left over and I made this smaller card,  again using the lilac card to mat the image and sentiment.  finishing off the card with peel offs,

Art Deco Birthday card

Hi

I made this Art Deco birthday card for my sister in law Dee whose birthday is today,

I used Debbi Moore's CD Art Deco Romance,   I used both the backing sheet and the image from the CD and matted the image onto gold bushed miri card by Hunkydory,  used peel offs around the edges and finished off the card with pearls in the corners of the image plus some glitter on her dress.

I hope she likes her card.

After two weekends of storms and gale force winds and gallons of rain, hopefully this weekend will be a little calmer.,
