CD Sunday Challenge- anything goes #163

Hi,

Another fortnight has gone by and we are now in the middle of July,  time it flying fast this year,  the host this fortnight is Pamela 

For my card this fortnight is been made up from a lot of different CDs,  the image was from the Royal Horticultural Society CD by Joanna Sheen,  the sentiment is from the Flower Patch CD by Debbi Moore,  the image is matted onto gold Miri card by Hunkydory,  the backing papers, is made from left overs I had in a box which just keeps all the left over bits from different challenges,  working out which CD they all came from would be a job in itself.  I made an added a pink bow.

CD Sunday challenge - Anything goes #92

Hi,

Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday challenge blog,  as usual it is anything goes,   this fortnight the host is Jo.

For my card  I tried something a little different,  I used the backing paper from The Royal Horticultural Society CD by Joanna Sheen.   I embossed an orchid from the vellum orchids by Clair's Crafts,  I have had these for ages and it time I used some,  I used the large size orchid  and with orchid  leaves with pink ribbon placed it on an embossed card,  added a bow of ribbon and a die cut butterfly.

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything Asian

Hi,
Here we are again with another challenge,  the fortnights do go quickly,  this time its Jane's choice, Jane is our newest member and this is her first challenge with us,
She chose Anything Asian,   well elephants sprang to mind and what else but a card with elephants on,  well it sort of went a bit further and grew into a card the shape of an elephant.   Four drawings and three pieces of card later and here is the final card.   The backing paper came from the Joanna Sheens Royal Horticultural Society CD.   I made the ear separately and covered it with another piece of paper before placing it on the elephant,  Asian Elephants have smaller ears than the African.
 The coat over her back is two pieces of felt the top one is embroidered with tiny flowers and the sequins are sewn on then the two pieces are sewn together before glueing on the back of her.  before adding an eye and peel offs to finish off and adding a silver bow on her trunk.

CD Sunday challenge - Do what you Love

Hi,
Another fortnight and a new challenge this time the theme was chosen by Pamela  Do what you love.  
Well I am sure many followers to this blog will know I love and have a passion for Orchids,  so its no surprise that I have done a card with orchids I used the backing paper from Joanna Sheens Cd The royal Horticultural Society CD,  the green mat is a Darice embossing folder called Jungle Foliage which I added some glitter to.  The Orchid die is from the Joanna Sheens Signature range which Vernon brought me some for christmas.  I finished off the card with a flourish and glitter pink ribbon which has not shown up in the photo very well.

CD Sunday Challenge - Let's go Lilac

Hi,
This is the last time I can do a challenge card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  the next challenges will be cards for the Design team,  so as we did not have to do any cards for this challenge, I thought I would do the last challenge which is Lets go Lilac.  Its nice to finish off the challenges of course I cannot enter for a prize so its just for fun.
I used Joanna Sheens CD The Royal Horticultural Society and this is from CD 1,   I found this image after a search,  amazing really with all the flowers and colours there are Lilac seems to be a colour not really used.  I played with the images and used three in different sizes matted on lilac card the background paper belongs to the images and I used lilac gems in the corners of the images but they don't show up very well,   Finished off with lilac ribbon and a peel off butterfly.   I wanted a card that could be used for a man or a woman.
I have had a rather disastrous week with cards and I have had to start a card again from scratch, amazing this one went smoothly.
Anyway from a cloudy but warm Somerset I hope you have a lovely weekend,   I am behind with commenting so I am sorry if you have not had a comment from me,  I will catch up.

CD Sunday Challenge - Get Well Wishes

Hi,
This is post two for today,   the sun has gone to my head today its another lovely day here in Somerset,   I still have the flu,  cant shake it off but at least I am up although I still have not been out for two weeks,  Vernon is a lot better,   he managed to cut the lawn today so he's on the mend,
This card is for the CD Sunday Challenge,  Get well wishes,  I have tried its not my best effort and its taken a couple of days but I got there in the end,   I used a 7x7 card for a change,  the background and image are from Joanna Sheens  The Royal Horticultural Society CD,  I embossed the green card with a leaf design,  added a bow and a butterfly matching the butterfly with the colour of the flowers and placed a pattern piece over the plain red card giving the butterfly a double look.  I tried to make a card for a man rather than a female as male cards are not easy to make but they do sometimes need a get well wishes card.

CD Sunday Challenge - add a stamped image

Hi,
Today I bring you my card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  add a stamped image,  gosh its ages since I did any colouring,  my mojo did not work as well as I would have liked on this card,  Perhaps yesterday was not a good day to make it as its was a year yesterday that my mother died,  so I was feeling a little sad.
Tried something a little different,  has it worked possibly not.
The backing paper is off a CD which I cant remember which one, but I found when sorting out all my craft stuff in my new craft room, good start.  The image is from Joanna Sheens CD The Royal Horticultural Society disc no 2,   the stamp is from Creative Expressions peacock stamp,  the die cuts are from two ladies who kindly sent them to me,  thank you ladies,  I matted the image on a silver card, then layered the peacock and then the die cuts,   I added a royal blue bow, royal blue heart gems and pink gems,
