CD Sunday Challenge - Stripey

Hi,
After what can only seem weeks of rain the autumn colours have more or less disappeared,  theres a few leaves left on some trees but really the gale force winds and heavy rain have spoilt the autumn show of colour.  Wish the sun would shine for a few days and dry the garden out so I can pack it up for the winter.

Today I bring you my challenge card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  this week its stripey,  I used the My craft Studio Cd Crafters Essential Backgrounds,  I used a pale yellow stripey for the background and a honey colour different pattern for the corners.   The image is House Mouse from Joanna Sheen.  I love this this one with the two mice kissing,  I finished off the card, with gold peel offs,  yellow ribbon,  yellow flower from stock, and a cream flourish.    Not sure what occasion I will use this card for.  I did enjoy making this card,  last week life got in the way it was all planned it have two moving images on the challenge card, oh well perhaps one day I might get around to making the planned card.

Anyway I hope you have a nice day and until we meet again take care
                           Hugs

The CD Sunday Challenge - Faithful Friends

 Hi,
On this gorgeous sunny day, yes summer is here, how long for is anyone's guess but the last few days have been gorgeous, long may it last.
Today's card is for the CD Sunday Challenge Faithful friends, well it had to be a dog, (Sorry Gian  but for this card it just had to be a dog and those who don't know that's Fox's cat from Tatology) but as a dog person well it could not be anything else could it?
I used for the backing paper My Craft Studio essential backgrounds again and for the image I used Furry Friends Squeeze cards, and the image is called Proud Father.   I did a step card for a change and there is a side view at the bottom.
I used a die cut piece of Fence which I have for some time and I am sure Suzanne did for me when I need it for a christmas card.   I used pansy flowers which I have had for ages and added a couple of bones for the proud father and puppy.   Then added the words in front in gold peel off's and finished the rest off in gold peels.  The ribbon is a new ribbon which I found a few weeks ago and matches the backing paper perfectly.

I hope where ever you are you are enjoying this lovely weather, Until we meet again take care.
                          Hugs

The CD Sunday Challenge - Aged to Perfection

 Hi,
Its official its been the coldest spring for 50 years,  and today is just the same showers and sun,  and not very warm.   I wonder if summer will ever come, as for spring lets forget it and hope for a summer?
Today I bring you my card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  Aged to Perfection,  I found this image and thought it would be OK.  Thatched cottages were mainly built years ago and although they are very expensive to live in as the thatch needs attention and renewing about every 50 years so you could say they are aged with perfection.  Thatched cottages are very warm in winter, cool in summer and expensive to insure,  this cottage is a real chocolate picture.
The backing paper is used came from My craft Studio crafters essentials CD backgrounds,  I used a lovely piece of trellis which was sent to me from Sue (Aunty Sue),  thank you Sue the die cuts were lovely and the other die cuts of leaves were sent by Suzanne, thank you Suzanne, which I coloured with pro markers   I matched the rose buds and roses with the flowers on the image, and finished off the card with gold peel off's
                                                                         Hugs

The CD Sunday Challenge - Bundle of Joy

 Hi,
Another cold day but no snow flurries so far today,  they say this is going to last through April.   I feel so sorry for farmers in Scotland and the Isle of Man whose sheep are buried in snow drifts of twenty feet,   I hope they will be able to find them before they die,  many must have lambs or near to lambing.

Lets change the subject this weeks theme on the CD Sunday Challenge is Bundle of Joy, Link to their blog
This week I ended up doing two cards boy and girl.  I used the backing paper from the CD Crafter Essentials Background from My craft Studio.
I put the words bundle of joy in the top balloons.
I matted the image on gold miri card,  I did these images in Parchment some time ago and then lost one of them,  by the time I found one I had lost the other one.  I sorted out my craft stuff the other day and found them both,   so before they disappear again I used them on these cards,   I used a cradle peel off and then embossed and on a grid did dots inside of the cradle coloured the bows and heart in pink/blue.
I used a stork peel off in the top corner,  I used pink baby ribbon with the words "its a girl",  I thought I had the same for a boy but I could find that so he got a plain blue ribbon.

Close up of the cradle.
I hope where ever you are,  you are warm and dry, in the meantime  take care, and thank you for visiting my blog today.
                 Hugs

The CD Sunday Challenge - Land of the Pharaohs

 Hi,
What a cold week we had last week and the beginning of this week,  we had beautiful sunshine most of the day today,  for days we have been having snow flurries  and with a East and then North wind and a chill factor of -6 or -7 its been so cold over the last week.  I wish if it wants to snow it would get on with it and throw it down instead of playing games with us.
This week the CD Sunday Challenge is Land of the Pharaohs link to their blog here

My card this week is the Egyptian Cat,  I used the My Craft Studio Click, Print, Go crafters Essentials Backgrounds CD for the background paper.  I found my Egyptian decoupage sheets by Cardcraft Plus and my Egyptian Peel Off's which I used a strip down the side of the card,  the strip has various Egyptian signs and the pyramids and finished off the card with red and gold ribbon and gold corners.
Hope where ever you are you are keeping warm and cosy.
Until we meet again take care.

              Hugs
             Margaret
