CD Sunday Challenge - Say it with flowers

Hi,
We are back again with another challenge this time is Pamela's choice and this fortnight its Say it with flowers.
To me I had one image in my mind when I saw the challenge and that is an image from Popcorn the Bear CD,   I love his sunflowers being carried ready to give.   I also used the backing paper which went with the image,  matted the image onto pale yellow card to bring out the dark yellow flowers and then placed it on a darker yellow card,  adding a cream ribbon and bow down the side and finished off with corner peel offs.
I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

CD Sunday Challenge - Thank you

 Hi
Why do things go wrong when you are not feeling well,    Its a good job I made this card last weekend as I have flu and spent the later part of the week in bed.  Not something I wanted as each cough hurts like hell and with the pain in the stomach wall which I am having a scan for on Tuesday,  is causing more pain.   Never mind its all sent to try us.   This is my second week as the Guest Designer for the CD Sunday Challenge and this week the card is - Thank you.
This week I used a new CD which I brought when we were in Oxfordshire over Easter, Debbi Moor Designs have brought out an Art Deco Bookazine with a CD,  nice because all the designs are on the CD so I dont have to cut the book up.  I used the template from the CD for the base of the card and she calls it a rocker card,   it does rock by the way.
I went back to Pop corn the bear for the image and backing paper,   I used green card cut by hand and then matted onto gold miri board,  a gold peel off thank you and glittered the flowers in the image,  I put roses in blue and pink to match the flowers which I brought off a market stall at the beginning of March.  Its amazing what you find when you are not looking.  and added green ribbon from stock.

If you have not seen Debbi Moores Bookazines I recommend them the designs are brilliant,   and there will be a lot more art deco cards coming up in the future,   I will be doing this rocker card again,  it was so easy to do.

I hope you are having a nice weekend and the sun shines between the rain drops.  Until we meet again Take care

Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge, - Hugs and Wishes

 Hi,
Yesterday the sun popped out oh the joy of seeing something bright in the sky,  it only lasted a couple of hours, today it was back to the dark skies although it did get brighter after lunch,  I am fed up with cloud,  and its so cold,  the last few days its only been a few degrees.
Here is my card for the challenge this week, on the CD Sunday Challenge Blog link to their blog.  Its Hugs and Wishes,  it was hard to find the right image and then I found these that I had printed off to make a card sometime ago,  so here is Popcorn Bear hugging a bunch of sunflowers.  I use Popcorn Bear CD for the background and the three bears holding the sun flowers.   this is one of my favourite images for Popcorn.   I cut three triangles from silver miri board for each bear,  I gave them some shape with a tool,  I like to give images some shape rather than flat on the card.  Put the words on a piece of peach card layered on a small piece of the silver miri board.  Put a piece of ribbon down the side of card,  which is from Joanna Sheens On line shop,  her ribbon is one of the best I have brought.  and finished off the card with silver pell off words and lines.

I hope you are keeping well and staying warm,  until we meet again take care.

The Sunday CD Challenge - From Me to You

Hi,
What a dull day, we have had fog/mist all day, don't know where the sun has gone, yesterday was lovely. I did some washing today but it was no good putting it out, the fog made it really damp outside. My new washing machine seems to be working well, but the washing seems to take so long to wash, I tried the super wash button today, well it was quicker but still longer than my old one.
Today I am bring you my card for the Sunday CD Challenge, link here. This week the theme is "From me to you", well Popcorn the Bear was the first thing I thought of, so here he is. I used Popcorn bear CD by Crafters Companion, I have decoupaged him, and used the same backing paper from the CD. I have put gold peel offs in the corners and down the side, a light blue ribbon bow. I used the smallest image as a tag and wrote on it "From me to You"
Now for the finishing touches this week, I made a tatted lace strip, I had these in m
y Esty store a few months ago, this one is made with Lizbeth thread no 20 called Turquoise Twist. I have sewn it on the card at the back. If anyone would like some strips I do make them in any colour and to the length required for the card, tatting cannot be cut once its made so I make them to fit the card.

I hope you had a good weekend and enjoying the so called sunshine the weather men say some of us are having. So if you have the sun enjoy because some of us are under a veil of fog.
Until we meet again take care
Hugs

Hi,
This is a scheduled post, today I thought you might like to see some easel calendars that I have made.
This one has an art deco lady design, with the backing papers from the Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams CD, finished off with pink ribbon and peel offs.

A close up

This one has an image and backing paper from the Joanna Sheen's Pamela West Collection Cd, the image was mounted on purple miri card and I have put some peel off dragonflies and finished it off with peel offs.

a close up.

This one has popcorn the bear image surrounded with pink roses, the strip and green backing paper was from stock, and again finished off with peel offs.

A close up.

I hope you are keeping well and have a lovely weekend.
