Art Deco birthday

 Hi,

This Art Deco card was made for my sister in law whose birthday was the 20th,  I do love Art Deco and this was a free image from Debbi Moore’s web site.

I used the backing paper that went with the image,  as some say fussy cut out the layers,  both on the image and the flowers.  I cut a piece of Hunkydory bushed gold Miri board for the image,  added a pale pink feather,   a ribbon bow,  pearls in the middle of the flowers  plus gold peel offs.

I am pleased with the card, I just hope she likes it.

CD Sunmday challenge - Anything goes # 79

 Hi,

Time for another challenge at CD Sunday,  as usual its anything goes as long as its from a CD, USB or digital material.  This fortnight Jocelyn is the host.

For my card this fortnight,  my original card did not work I was going to make the card shape of a butterfly,  well lets just say it did not work and would not stand up,  the second attempt went pear shaped,  this is the third attempt,  by now my husband was saying give up,  I dont give up that easy,   I used a backing paper from Gnomes and fairies CD by La Pashe,  the butterfly was cut from the Butterfly kiss die, moonstone dies by Hunkydory,  the backing aper on the butterfly is from Enchanted dreams Cd by Joanna Sheen,  and the top layer of the butterfly was cut using the die on parchment paper.  Finished off with pearl gems on the body of the butterfly and peel offs.

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes # 78

Hi,

Time for another challenge from the CD Sunday challenge blog,  this fortnight as usual its anything goes and the host this fortnight is me.

For my card I used a free download from Debbi Moore web site May 2020 and team it with a backing sheet from her CD Summer moments Art Deco CD..  I matted the image onto gold bushed miri card from Hunkydory added a feather with of  the embellishments that came with the image,   put the happy  birthday sentiment on the same gold card and added a variegated pink and blue ribbon which matches the colour scheme of the card.

Tatted Friendship Dove

 Hi,

At least today the sun us shining and although it’s as cold as it has been,   we did have a frost this morning,  this is a tatted Friendship Dove,  it was not a hard pattern but I had to keep reading as there are 90 parts to the pattern that’s rings and chains,   the pattern is by Frivolite Con Sabor.   I used Lizbeth white thread no 20 .  I do like this pattern and will make some more

Meet Franki this small motif was designed by Noo Bear,  I did change the last row a bit by joining it to the second row where the point meets,  to make the pattern more stable.  I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Peacock blue and Ice blue.

I am now starting a large tatting project no doubt I will take a break and tat something else in between. So watch this space as they say

Hope you have a lovely weekend

CD Sunday Challenge - Anything goes #77

 Hi,

Gosh its the middle of January and its seems christmas has only just finished,   its time for another challenge at the CD Sunday challenge blog,   as always its Anything goes,  this fortnight is Jo turn to be the host.

My card for this challenge I used If Flowers could talk CD by Joanna Sheen,  this is a lovely CD with images of poems by Patience Strong and this one is Think Happiness,  I thought this is very true of the moment with the virus still with us and so much unhappiness and depression around us.  We have to stay positive,  and hopefully one day we might be back to normal,  what ever normal is.

I matted the image onto green card and decoupage the spay of flowers,  using the backing sheet that came with the image.  I made a frame around the image with peel offs and added my hand made bow in the corner.

Its Snowing snowflakes

Hi,

Since christmas I have been tatting a few snowflakes,  these are new patterns that were published before christmas and I was tatting some orders that I never had time to try these out.

I have grown very fond of this snowflake its called Iwona  by Ewa Wasylliszyn,    I used white lizbeth thread no 20  for both of these and used blue and gold seed beads,

This is another Iwona this time I used ice blue with blue beads,   the blus beads reminded me of the blur light when we did the trip to Norway,  they have 24 hours of darkness during the winter,  its not what we would call total darkness they have what they call a blue light which these blue beads represent and the ice blue thread is the reflection of the blue light in the snow.

This is snowflake is a new snowflake designed by Wanda called Victor snowflake,   its a lovely pattern and I will be doing more but for now I am tatting something else before starting on two projects which I have wanted to tat for a while.

I really enjoyed tatting these snowflakes,  there will be more I have no doubt about that.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend,  today we have sunshine but its is very cold with frosts in the morning at least its not raining
