  4. Interestingly, many of my distant English ancestors were named George (possibly for the Patron Saint!), including my great-great grandfather, who was married in London in 1847. His only son, Thomas, emigrated to America in 1870 and HIS only son, William, was born here. Thomas then had six daughters(!), and he did name one Georgina, who was my great aunt! (We called her Auntie Georgie!) No doubt Thomas wanted at least one child to have his father's name!) But no one in the family has been named George (or Georgina) since then! I'm always interested in English history because of my heritage!

We are having cold weather, too, after lovely summer temps for awhile, but at least we in Western PA seem to have escaped the snow that some had on the East Coast today!

I just came across your beautiful knitted angels, and as a knitter, I was amazed to see them! Knitting with thread isn't something I would even attempt!

  5. My knitted angels are knitted either in 4ply wool or cotton.
Thank you for the interesting comment, I love reading your comments.
I hope you can trace your English family and see where your roots have come from.
    Have a nice day
    Margaret
