Happy Birthday Mervyn

Hi,
I have scheduled this post as I will be in Frome's Cheese and Grain with my craft table.  This card is for Vernon's best friend Mervyn,  he is 70 years old  today.  They have been friends since Vernon moved into the village of Batcombe in Somerset when he was 7 years old, so they have been friends 59 years.
The Image is from Kanban,  the backing paper is from a Joanna Sheens CD but I cant remember which one but it was a piece that was left over and I finished off the card with gold peel off's and blue ribbon.
I thought this image of a bird would be fine, as he's very fond of wildlife in his garden
I hope you have a lovely weekend and until we meet again take care.
                                 Hugs
                              Margaret

  1. Hi Margaret,

Hope you have a good day at Fromme. What did you feature at your craft table? The card for Vernon's friend is lovely. Do you leave the card blank inside for the sender to write in?

    1. Hi Wendy
I had a good day and the weather was beautiful and warm, this might be summer at last.
I usually do put a verse inside my cards and those I sell, I also have a few blank ones for people who want to write there own message. I have a great verse writer cd-rom for the computer which helps, although I try and keep the verses down to just a couple of verses for the birthday ones and have a little printed piece of paper at the back of the card so when people buy the card they can read the verse before they buy as all the cards are in cello bags.
It's a lot of work but in the long run it pays off.
Thanks for asking the question it's nice to get asked questions
      Margaret
