Husband birthday

 Hi,

Today is my husbands birthday,  I made him this card,  I used Hunkydory foiled card,  with an image from Kanban of a Nut Catcher  bird which I decoupaged. which is not very common bird here,  I have only ever seen one in real.  matted the image on blue card.   I used Joanna Sheens ivy die with a blue ribbon rose  with blue ribbon from stash.

We are having a Chinese meal tonight

Have a lovely weekend

Christmas cards in Lock down

 Hi,
With this lock down I have managed to make a few early christmas cards,   This set is from a topper sheet I have had for some time and not used from Kanban,  and the blue card and gold bushed miri card is from Hunkydory.  The ribbon is from stash.
One thing with the lock down it gives us time to sort out the craft room and find things you never knew you had,  and the opportunity to start early on christmas cards,

Stay safe and well,
Margaret

CD Sunday Challenge - #9 Anything goes using something from a craft CD

Hi,
Time for another challenge at the CD sunday challenge blog and this fortnight Jane is hosting the challenge which is Anything goes using something from a CD.
For this card I using House Mouse triple CD using disc 2 decoupage section.  I could not find a backing sheet for this image so I used a piece of foiled leaf Aurora paper from Cardcraft plus limited and matted the image on a Kanban metallic card.  I decoupage the image and added a piece of ribbon. The sentiment is from the same CD  which matches the image.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Back to Basics and Beyond - An easy Easel card

Hi,
This fortnight at Back to Bascis,  our challenge is for an easy easel card.
I have made a simple easy card,  taking a card folding one side in half and adding another piece of card to the folded piece and therefore making a folded card that stands up.
I used an image from stash which is by Kanban, I matted it on red card and then gold card printed with Happy christmas,  added gold die cuts and a spray of poinsettia die cut with red gems in the middle and at the bottom a strip of the gold card white leaf die cuts and red ribbon and a couple of more red gems.

We would be delighted to see you at Back to Basics and beyond challenge blog, with your entry,  here is a link to the blog
Hope you have a nice day

Hi,
This fortnight Back to Basics and Beyond challenge have a new challenge for you this time its folded back card.
I made this card for a special friend whose 75th birthday is on the 1st June,  and they don't look at my blog so I am safe to put this card on early.  I just hope he likes it.
I used a Kanban image of a bird  which I matted onto a Kanban embossed card,  I folded back the front of the card and covered the card with a plain blue paper and added a strip of pattern blue paper down the sides,  and finished off the card with corner peel offs and peel offs words.
We would be pleased to see you at Back to Basics challenge blog and here is a link

Birds / feathers

Hi,
I could say its a bit warmer at least we have got rid of the snow we had last weekend,  its got a long way to go yet before we can say its spring.
Today I made this card for the challenge crafting with Dragonflies, their challenge  is birds / feathers.
I used for the card a sheet of damask paper which I had in stash with a Kanban embossed card and a Kanban image of a pretty bird.  finishing off the card with peel offs and a bow.  I cut half of the front card away placing the image in the middle.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

A bit Late, the last Christmas card

 Hi,
This is a one handed written post,  so its not going  look so good,  I was going through my pictures to see if I had anything to share with you and found this.  I have a few more items which I can share with you over the next few weeks.

This is Vernons Christmas card,  I wanted something different for him,  I had this Kanban image which i matted it onto parchment paper with a dark red background behind it,  I added the gold and red flowers,  a flourish and some red ribbon and thats what he got.

The last card I made for the CD Sunday Challenge got a third,  I was over the moon when I found out on Sunday.
My ankle is a lot better after another x-ray they could not see a fracture but by hand although after a second x-ray I had yesterday which thankfully also does not show any fractures it is still very badly bruised, very painful damaged tendons and is still swollen.  All other injuries are healing nicely but its going to take a few weeks before I can get back to tatting and knitting,  and get my glasses repaired.  Still its given me time to design some new items in tatting,  get some of the pictures back on my blog,  read, and work out some ideas and  items for the blog.  watch this space as they say.
I hope you are not flooded, underwater or frozen,  our weather here in the west country has been beyond words,  it just keeps on raining, and the wind well thats going to get the record of the windiest winter ever.  There is a large part of Somerset flooded with many roads closed due to flooding, rivers bursting at the seams with large amounts of water and coastal regions suffering with high tides and rough seas.  At least its not snow, so to all my American / Canadian friends, please keep warm and safe,  if we have any more rain here we will be floating over the pond to you.
In the meantime take care
Hugs
Margaret

Wedding Bliss

 Hi,
I thought it was time to show you a card, to be honest I have not made any since before my Holiday in Portugal, my op and going to Cyprus, well yes I did Vernons wedding anniversary card.
I sat down the other day and made a few this was the biggest,   the backing paper was from stock its lilac with glittery flowers on,  the image is from Kanban with a piece of the romantic picture behind the Bride and Groom,  the beautiful die cut is from Suzanne, thank you Suzanne and the flowers match the backing paper from stock.  The ribbon was part of a free gift from a magazine.   I am pleased with this card.  Hope you like it too.

Have a nice weekend

Happy Birthday Mervyn

Hi,
I have scheduled this post as I will be in Frome's Cheese and Grain with my craft table.  This card is for Vernon's best friend Mervyn,  he is 70 years old  today.  They have been friends since Vernon moved into the village of Batcombe in Somerset when he was 7 years old, so they have been friends 59 years.
The Image is from Kanban,  the backing paper is from a Joanna Sheens CD but I cant remember which one but it was a piece that was left over and I finished off the card with gold peel off's and blue ribbon.
I thought this image of a bird would be fine, as he's very fond of wildlife in his garden
I hope you have a lovely weekend and until we meet again take care.

Happy Birthday Vernon

Hi

Today is my husbands birthday,  with him now home all the time having retired last year,  making a card has been a little hard,  but I got there in the end.
He wont be in a good mood as he has an appointment at the Royal United Hospital in Bath to see his consultant,  we are hoping nothing has changed.
His card is a Kanban image with a gold corset which I have weaved red ribbon in and red ribbon down the side of the card,   the image I matted on red and black miri card. finished off with gold words and gold hearts design down the top side of the card.
I hope he has a good day but the weather is looking very wet and windy.
                    Hugs
