Snowflake Challenge - A Countdown to Christmas

Hi,

Day 9

Todays snowflake is designed by Renulek  link to her blog and is part of her tat along mat that many of us have done or in my case still tatting,  Yes I know I have not updated you on it recently,  its about the same as I have not done much to it,  it sits on my coffee table in front of me and there it sits,  hopefully after christmas I will pick it up again and try to get somewhere near the finish.   Anyway for those have not seen the said mat there is a round with these snowflakes  12 in all,  all the way around,  hence I did this as a pretty snowflake which looks lovely hanging up.  I used Lizbeth thread no 20.

  1. I like that you are highlighting a variety of designers. This snowflake is beautiful!

  2. I think this is beautiful, and has a dual purpose if this mat you are doing is same color, that would mean you have one more done :) Well after Christmas anyway just remove the hanger and into the mat it goes;)

    1. In a nut shell no, the mat is in Sea Island Citrus which I showed some months ago, I did it in white to see if it worked as a snowflake on its own. I am passed the snowflake round only just after Christmas I will show the mat again as to where I have got to, it won't be finished anytime soon.

    2. I might be going crazy with all these snow flakes, and at the moment the flake you made from the motif is lost in my mind. But I will look back in your history and find it.

  3. Ah, that's why it looked familiar! Nice to use it on its own as a snowflake, instead of part of a very large doily.
