Summer Days

Hi,
The mojo hit me this week, and I finally made a few cards,  Although  this card was for the CD Sunday Challenge I don't feel I layered it enough, so I wont be entering it into the challenge.
I used Joanna Sheens CD Summer Days,  this CD has some wonderful images on it and I really love this one,   I used the image matted it on green and pale green card,   used the backing sheet from the image,   Added a lovely die cut sent from a friend with a bunch of roses and ribbon I brought when we were in Sheffield.
I enjoyed making this card,   I hope to make another one for the challenge if I get time,  I have a few busy days ahead.
Until we meet again take care

CD Sunday Challenge purple-crazy-tribute-to-Wendy

 Hi,
Today we woke up to rain,  but as I write this the sun is coming out so hopefully now the garden has been watered the day will improve.
Today this is my card for the special challenge on the CD Sunday Challenge blog,  it is a tribute to Wendy known as Purple Crazy.
So my card is purple backing paper with glitter which does not show up very glittery,   the image is from Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West Collection matted onto silver card and purple peel off lines,   purple check ribbon and some die cuts which three ladies so kindly sent me,  they wont let me thank them so ladies thank you as you can see I am using them and was very grateful for them.   hopefully one day I might get a machine.  My craft room is taking shape yes hubby has finally given in and let me have a craft room,  the desk has been done just waiting for the craft cabinet.
I hope this card will be a fitting tribute to a crafter who will be crafting with the angels.

In the meantime until we meet again take care

April Pinterest Challenge 15a/25 Motif challenge

 Hi
Another beautiful day her in Somerset,  and its really warm too, clear blue sky,
As you know Suzanne and I are doing this challenge between us of finding things on Pinterest and trying out the ideas.
Well here is my April one,   I saw this bag on pinterest and I knew the pattern its actually a pattern from Tatting Patterns by Mary Knoior that has been used,   I started the bottom with a ring and then worked it round until I had the size of the bag.  It seem to take ages to reach the top of the bag and it worked out well, so well I am now making another couple.  I will post them with how I did the bags on another day.
Here is the bag closed.  I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in white and an organza bag for the inside.

Hope you like it
If you would like to see Suzanne's item on her blog here is the link  she has done the most gorgeous card.
I am sorry I have not been around all the blogs recently but some days the pain is just too much so please excuse me if I did not leave you a comment I promise that I will try and catch up with the blogs.
Until we meet again take care

Earrings to match 14/25 motif Challenge

Hi,
Do you remember this post on the 1st of April for International Tatting Day ,   well here they are the earrings I made to match the pendant although I have yet put the earring ring on yet I thought as I had nothing else at the moment I would show you these. I made the pendant from the book Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff,  its the first pattern called Kincir I have made from this book.  There were no earrings so I made these to match,  Using the whole ring made the earrings too big so I used half a ring with the pattern,   I used Lizbeth no 20 thread in Purple Splendor and white.

Here they are together,  I am pleased how they worked out.

Its a beautiful day here in Somerset and warm hopefully where ever you are you are enjoying the sun shine,   Vernon and I were out in the garden this morning,  nice to feel the sun and being able to top up my Vitamin D.
Until we meet again Take care.

Look what landed on the table

Hi,
Its the most beautiful day here in Somerset,   the sun is shining there's not a cloud in the sky,  its a bit chilly in shade but who cares,   its Easter Monday we've done some gardening, but there's plenty more to do, having a restful day.
On Saturday I was in Cheese and Grain in Frome doing my craft table, and look what landed on the table.  Apparently it had been flying around the hall the day before, after I took this photo Vernon took her outside and put her on a plant,  its A Red Admiral there was not a lot around last year.
This year in our garden we have loads of Ladybirds,  so hopefully they will keep the greenfly at bay.
Hope you are enjoying the Easter break and sun shine.

They are fiddly but I did play about with different colours,  I am going to try and make some leaves to go with these.  Will post if I can make them.

International Tatting Day 25 motif challenge 14/25

Hi

Happy International Tatting Day to all the tatters around the world,  I hope you have a great day tatting where ever you are.
I don't have a lot to show at the moment,  I have been very tried recently and the tablets are slowing me down.    I did make this pendant over the weekend,  Its from Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff,   this is the first thing I have made from this book and I really enjoyed using the plastic ring for a change.   The pattern is called Kincir and I used Lizbeth no 20 in Purple Splendor and White.   I am in the process of making a pair of earrings to go with the pendant.  which I will show when they are done,   I did make a ring at the top for the ring instead of a Josephine Knot so I could attach it to a chain more easier.
Have a great day and until we meet again Take care
