CD Sunday challenge- anything goes #103

 Hi,

Here we are in February and  time for another challenge at CD Sunday as long as it from a CD,  USB,  or digital material.  The host for this fortnight is me.

For my card this fortnight I have done something a little different in the style of a CAS in the shape of a cat,  the image on the front is from Pamela West collection CD by Joanna Sheen,  I matted the image on gold bush card by Hunkydory,  using the same image and decoupaged it into several layers,  I added eyes that move with the card,  and two pink bows of ribbon,

CD Sunday Plus challenge has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Plus Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD, USB or digital material no matter how small and let us know where and what you used the material from,   and that it is a card or a project.    Here is a link to CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend

CD Sunday challenge - Anything goes # 91

 Hi,

At the time of writing this its slightly cooler than it has been,  although I have been in heatwaves all over Europe,  this heatwave  has just killed me and played the fibromalgia up as well.  My garden would love some rain,  it seems to miss us and we just get a few spots that does nothing for the plants.   As usual for this challenge is anything goes.  This fortnight Pamela is the host for the challenge.

For my card this fortnight,  I used an image and paper from The Pamela Wrest collection CD by Joanna Sheen,  I matted the image onto Kanban card from stock, using a plain and embossed purple  shades of card,  I tried something different,  not sure if it worked,  I added the fence and lamp die from Polkadoodies.  and I made a matching ribbon bow.  I added silver peel offs  welcome to your new home

CD Sunday Challenge - No Pattern Papers

Hi,
That fortnight went quick and here we are another CD Sunday Challenge this time its Meg's turn to choose and its No Pattern Papers.
For this challenge I used an image from the Pamela West CD by Joanna Sheen,  I matted the image onto purple card matching the colour of the flowers, I used an ivy die by Joanna Sheen placed on opposite corners of the image in the same cream card.
The image was put on an embossing folder by Couture Creations - Extra Loren from the Elegance Collection on cream card, I used a pink card as a base,  in the image there is a splash of pink which matched the base card, finished off with a matching ribbon down the side, and three matching gems.
I have not decided what occasion I will use the card for so it has been left blank for now.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

Bookmark Competition at Papermill

Hi,
This post went wrong the other day so I am trying again hopefully it will go right this time.
There is a bookmark competition at the moment with Papermill here is a link for you if you wish to enter
https://www.papermilldirect.co.uk/…/handmade-bookmark-chall…
This is my bookmark based on the book I am reading at the moment call The Gypsy Madonna by Santa Montafiore.  Its a good book and is set in France.  Based at a hotel just out the village, the little boy is telling the story and why he does not speak.  A male guest arrives and has all the women at the hotel in a spin, guests and staff.  He likes to play his guitar by the stream or in the garden.   I wont say anymore as I do not want to spill the book for you,
I used blue card stock to represent the sky and cut into an oval shape,  the image is from Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West collection,  I matted it onto darker blue card, and then onto silver card, corners rounded by a punch,  green flourish sprays die cut and placed the silver guitar on the bookmark, and finished off with a ribbon bow and matching ribbon tie.

CD Sunday Challenge - Something New

Hi,
Firstly Happy New Year,  this is the first challenge of the year and it was chosen by Pauline, and its something new.
For this challenge I have done a new Home card we have a friend moving in Australia (hopefully she wont see this post) in the New year.  I wanted to keep the card flat as possible so its not quite my usual card.
the image and backing paper are from Joanna Sheens The Pamela West Collection.  The image was matted onto blue card,  with white die cuts and a spray of Ivy die cut.   The flowers are glittery peel offs put on strong card and cut around to give them a bit of shaping before gluing them onto the card,  I finished off the card with a ribbon and bow with silver peel off wording.

I hope you will not only visit the CD Sunday Challenge site,  remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.

CD Sunday Challenge - Country Living

Hi
The Cd Sunday Challenge this fortnight has been chosen by Pamela and its Country Living.
I wanted something different not sure if this has worked,
I used Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West Collection disc number one for the backing and matching image which I matted onto blue card,  using three images at different angels,   I put a die corner spray in the corners and I made a matching blue bow to one side of the images.
I made it simple without any fussy bits and kept plain for a male card.
If you would like to join us at the CD Sunday Challenge please do so,  we would love to see you,  just use something from a CD is all we ask.  Here is a link for the CD Sunday Challenge blog
Hope you are having a lovely weekend,

CD Sunday Challenge - Seasons

 Hi,
I am hoping that the internet stays on long enough for me to put this on,   two days the internet powered by BT has played about and not worked all day,  hopefully it will stay on today.
Enough of my moan.
Today this is my card for the CD Sunday Challenge this fortnight its seasons,  and I found this delightful image which I used from Joanna Sheen CD The Pamela West Collection,   this image reminded me of summer.       I matted the image onto silver card,  the green card I embossed from my new machine,  ( I am still learning and enjoying my christmas present,)  the backing paper was from the same CD but from a different image. The dies are from friends thank you ladies,  I printed a computer sentiment "Lazy Hazy Days of Summer" and finished off the card with some flowers and a ribbon bow.
Vernon says its Lazy crazy days of summer but I still like Lazy Hazy days of summer so whatever the song was,  and which ever one of us is right its staying as it is.
Hope you like the card and have a nice day
                                  Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - A Cool Yule

Hi,
Only a few days to go until Christmas and for this challenge on the CD Sunday Challenge its a Cool Yule.   Seeing our temperatures are very mild for the time of year,  what more could I do than a card with snow, well I hope that is a Cool Yule.
For this card I used Joanna Sheens CD,  The Pamela West Collection disc number two.  I printed off the whole sheet and used three images decreasing in size as I decoupage the image down the card.   I used the backing paper that went with the image and matted the images onto silver card.  I place a narrow piece of silver card and a strip of blue ribbon under the first image.  and made a bow for the side.  Added a Merry christmas peel off,  and finished off the card with glitter,  I glittered the whole scene all most,  I hope you can see the glitter.
Actually this card is for my Husband Vernon but he does not know that yet,   I still have the insert to do and husband to the front of the card.
I do hope this card meets with the challenge of a Cool Yule.
Until we meet again take care

CD Sunday Challenge - Sprinkle of Snowflakes

 Hi,
On this dull and damp day here in Somerset,  I hope its better with you.  I made this card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  this time its a Sprinkle of Snowflakes. As soon as I saw what the challenge was I knew it had to include a snowflake. Seeing that I am making tatted snowflakes at the moment I had plenty to choose from for this card.

The backing paper of snowflakes is from the Glitter and Glitz Art Deco Christmas CD by Debbi Moore,  the image at the bottom is from the Pamela West CD  disc two by Joanna Sheen,  and the tatted snowflake is from the 24 Snowflakes in tatting by Lene Bjorn and its day 14 in the book,  and I used Lizbeth thread in white no 20.
I placed the snowflake and the image on gold card, along with the Merry Christmas words in sparkling writing on parchment,  then added a bow with white and green ribbon,  with gold and green snowflake peel off's.
I hope there's enough snowflakes to make it a sprinkle.
Until we meet again take care
                          Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - Something beginning with H.... (Home)

Hi,
I thought I ought to put my best foot forward and get this card done, I have missed the last two challenges which is my own fault,  I can only blame the fibromalgia,  anyway here is my card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  Something beginning with H.... Home.  I know there will lots of christmas cards,  and I wanted something different,  after racking my brain I came up with Home (a new home card)
The image is from Joanna Sheens CD Pamela West Collection,  a real chocolate box cottage I matted the image onto a green shiny card,  and used a piece of Ivy backing paper,  the cream die cuts came from a friend and I used her bicycle to add interest,  finished off with green check ribbon bow and silver wording.   I wanted to keep it simple which I hope have achieved.
The weather is getting worse down here, but nothing like the forecast for Scotland with snow and gale force winds so I won't complain about it here.
Take care until we meet again
                             Hugs
                         Margaret

CD Sunday Challenge - Bear with me

Hi,
What a busy week I had, well not really we had the painter in painting the lounge/dinning room so not a lot I could do,  it was wet so gardening was out of the question,  I had several jobs to do, did I get them done,  not really but I did manage to make a couple of cards.   Only when I looked at this card I had made for this challenge the invisible glue dot was visible under the vellum.  After a few choice words not in the English dictionary.  I tried to get the vellum off and try again,  well this is my second card so I hope this is OK.
I used Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West Collection disc two,   I really do love this image and for this challenge I thought it would be nice to start making a few christmas cards.   The Santa sleigh is a die  cut sent to me from a friend (she knows who she is and thank you) it fitted this card perfectly.  The backing paper and the vellum Merry christmas are from stock and I punched out the silver snowflakes and finished off the card with silver peel off corners and a blue bow.
When I was making this card,  an image which I love, I imaged the Polar Bear sleeping with her club under the snow with Santa flying high above.  Well that's my in take and I'm sticking to it.
Hope you are keeping well until we meet again
Take care
                            Hugs
                        Margaret
