CD Sunday Challenge Special - Birthday Celebrations

Hi,
As special celebrations the CD Sunday Challenge is to BACK LINK to our favourite card that we have made for the challenges, Well that was one of the hardest things I have had to do in a long time,  the brain cells have been working overtime. Although I have not been doing the challenges for the whole six years I still had a lot of cards to look though.   In the end it came down to two cards and tossing a coin we decided on this card. It was made for the Coffee, Peach and Cream challenge in November 2014.   I used the Joanna Sheens CD Patience Strong. Down beside each image there are some of the flowers which I used to 3D the image, and then I put glitter on the flowers,  I matted the image on peach and cream card and used the backing paper from the image,  The ribbon down the side is cream with a narrow coffee ribbon and I made a bow with both ribbons,  I added coffee ribbon to the spray of flowers.  and peach gems at the top and bottom.   I finished off the card with gold peel off of Happy Birthday.
Here is a link to the original post with this card from November 2014
You may ask why is this my favourite card,   I just like the colouring and the image,   peach is one of my favourite colours, and out of all the cards I have made for the CD Sunday Challenge this is one of them that stands out the most.
These ladies come up with some great challenges and I hope they keep going for another six years,  I really don't know how they do it and think of something new every fortnight
I hope you like it too.
                                      Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - Thank you

Hi,
This is the card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  I am a bit late but I hope my card will be OK.
I used Joanna Sheens CD Patience Strong for the background paper,   I then place a strip of brown card and embossed a strip of peach card with a die cut butterfly in the same brown card used.  I finished off the card with gold gems and a gold thank you peel off.
I wanted a simple card and I think I managed that.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Pretty as a picture

 Hi,
Its a dull, drizzly morning here in Somerset,  looks set in for the day.
I made this card the other day, the image and background paper is from Joanna Sheens CD Patience Strong, I matted the image on gold card, added my last piece of die cut flourish I was given from a friend and a butterfly which Carol sent me last year,  thank you both of you for the die cuts.   The flowers and ivy leaves are from stash along with the white ribbon.  Below is a side view.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend, until we meet again, take care

CD Sunday Challenge, Everything stops for Tea

Hi,
I went for plain and simple this time using Joanna Sheens  Patience Strong CD,   I rather like the idea of the afternoon tea with the plate of sandwiches.   I also used the backing sheet that went with the image blue ribbon down the side and die cut flowers down the side on the back with blue gems in the middle, I cut a piece off the front of the card and placed the image half way.  My camera decided to give up and I had to buy a new one,   but Currys gave me the wrong SD card for it,  so I had to go back again and get the right one,   So now I can take my photos without messing around with the Ipad and then emailing them to myself.
Until we meet again take care
      Hugs

Coffee, Peach and Cream CD Sunday Challenge

 Hi,
What horrible day,  its very windy and raining,  dark and to be honest not a day to go out in.
My card today is for the CD Sunday Challenge of Coffee, Peach and Cream.  It took a while to find an image but in the end I settled for this one from Joanna Sheen CD Patience Strong,  down beside each image there are some of the flowers used used with the poems.  I choose these lilies I printed out three images and decoupage the image and then painted some glitter on them,  Matted the image on peach and cream card which is not showing up too well, and used the backing paper from the image on a cream card. The ribbon down the side is cream with a narrow coffee which I made a double bow at the side.   A spray of cream flowers with some coffee ribbon and peach gems top and bottom.
Added a gold peel off of Happy Birthday.
I am glad I took photos this card yesterday today would have been impossible.

Hope you are having a nice day
Take Care
Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - dies with Jenny

 Hi,

Its a bit wet today here in Somerset,   the garden is enjoying it,  not sure about Glastonbury.   There's 170,000 down at Pilton, on Worthy Farm, and already by the local news at lunch time it is a mud bath.   I am not going.
On to the card this is the first card I have done for the challenge this year,  I did enjoy making it even if Carol did bully me a little last Sunday,  so Carol here is the card.  Hope you like like it.
I used Joanna Sheens CD Patience Strong,  for the image and backing paper.  I matted the image onto green card.
The dies cut bit was hard,   but thanks to my friends who have die cut machines.    As they say with a little help from my friends here is my card.
I used pale green die cut flower corners and a pale green flourish and dark green leaves at the bottom.  The roses I brought in the market at Worksop while I was up there before coming home from Sheffield.    and I added a green ribbon bow at the top.
I know my mojo is not at its best at the moment so I hope you like my card.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Until we meet again take care.

Hugs
Margaret
