Group of Bookmarks 14/25 Motif challenge

Hi,

This is the last scheduled post,  today we are travelling back from Cyprus arriving late tonight,
Today I have a few bookmarks for you,  I tried to find out what the collective word would be for a group of them,  and I could not find anything,  so I am calling them a group.
The first one at the top is the Spiral Bookmark in white and Tropical Punch.    The second one is Kerstis Floral Tatted bookmark in Pink Parade,   both are Lizbeth threads no 20. Both are my favorites and lovely to tat.
This bookmark is the Rose and Butterfly by Jeanne Lugart,   the thread is rather old by coats and I have no idea how old or what the number is,  I asked Vernon is pick out a different colour for me out of the draw where I keep my thread,  and this is what he choose.
Now he knows how much thread I have,  but a tatter can never had too much can she????
This pattern needs a split chain at the bottom,  I think I did a good job on that,  and a Josephine chain yes well that was something that needed a bit of refreshing last time I did one of those it looked a mess but thanks to Lady Shuttle maker link to her blog.  She had a wonderful piece on her blog explaining how to do it,  I did it first time and I think it looks good.   I will be doing them again now I have the trick in making them.   Yes my time while I was ill has been a learning curve and re-freshing up on what I found hard to do.  I think I told you that before. See I have not wasted my time all together.

I look forward to seeing you all soon,   if you did not get a comment on your blogs while I was away sorry but I will try and visit you all and catch up on what's new.
Until we meet again take care
                      Hugs

My surprise today

Hi,

Look what arrived in the post today, back in November I won a giveaway from Wanda in the US, I know she posted it at the beginning of December and I must admit I had forgotten about it, so when the postman came knocking this morning with two parcels I was surprised.

Thank you Wanda the parcel was lovely containing a pair of small scissors, two balls of Lizbeth thread, of which I do not have, Peacock Blues no 20 and Autumn Apple pie No 40. A book about Kansas landscape and the most beautiful bookmark.

The other parcel was from the Lady Shuttle Maker, I brought one of her hook pens on Christmas day from her esty store, its like a pen but without the ink instead it has a tatting hook which when you press it, it comes down just like an ink nib.

I hope you have had a nice day I am off to see and do the TIAS (tat it as you see) that started today, if you remember I did it last you and it turned out to be an aeroplane, so I wonder what this years will turn out to be.

Until we meet again take care

Hugs

Tatting Challenge Yourself - Look what I received.

Hi,
Oh what a beautiful day, and really warm for the time of year, at last summer has come back, they say its going to last to the weekend, as far as I am concerned it can last until Christmas and beyond. I know I am stretching it a bit, but I hate winter, and I don't like snow, OK its lovely to look at but not when you need out and about in.
As you know from my last post we are doing a tatting challenge on "intatters", this is from my partner.

This beautiful lighthouse bookmark arrived this morning, its from Snowflake77, who lives in Germany. she included the pattern for it which was a Tat it and see 2008 by Ladyshuttlemaker (Sherry Pence) link to her blog she challenged herself to doing block tatting.
She did not include the name of the thread used so I cannot tell you what she used. but its very well made and will be used in my tatting books.
Thank you Snowflake77 (Karin)
I was asked about my last post, I forgot to say what thread I used on the card, its was a Coats yellow, I don't know the number it came from a very old ball and Lizbeth Gold, both were no 20 and worked in very well together even though they were different makes.
I hope you are enjoying this lovely weather and until we meet again take care.

Hugs
Margaret
