Pinterest Challenge for June, 17/25 motif challenge

Hi,
As you know Suzanne and I have been challenging each other to find something on Pinterest that we could do,
Here is my June item,  I found this pattern done as a bracelet,  actually the pattern is Kersti's Floral Tatted Bookmark,  I did not have the right size beads that would sit in the ring these are a little large for my liking but they have worked well by sitting on the ring. I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Summer Fun.  I am pleased how the bracelet worked out all I have to do now is add the  bracelet clips.
I hope you like my item for June. I am sure Suzanne will come up with something brilliant.
Hope you have a lovely weekend

Hospital Tatting 22/25 motif challenge

Hi,

As promised this is the tatting I did in hospital,  it might look a lot but really its only a few bits of small items,  patterns I know mostly off by heart.   It kept my occupied during the long hours,   I was in a private room on my own due to the radio active treatment for the cancer.   Vernon was only allowed to visit two hours per day so he split into one hour in the afternoon and one hour in the evening.
So here is the above picture in smaller amounts.   You will have seen the patterns before but for new followers I will say what they are.

This is butterflies,   the two large butterflies are Mary Konior's in Turkish Altin Basak thread.  The smaller ones are bits left on shuttles which were Lizbeth thread Pineapple Parfait, and girly girl.

This is be-stitched hearts called Tatted Josephine Heart,   I used Lizbeth thread Girly girl no 20 for these
This heart is called Small Tatted Heart by Betsy Evans,   and again I used Lizbeth thread Girly girl  No.20
And finally a bookmark this is Kersti's Floral Tatted Bookmark which I used one of the balls of thread that I won from Rachel on intatters,
The thread is Lizbeth no 20 Vineyard Harvest.
I have put a close up at the bottom

Just a reminder Fox had problems this week and her blog address is now www.tat-ology.blogspot.ca,  if you have never visited her do pop along and see her tatting.

This was the view from my hospital room,  its looking over Sheffield, The hospital is called the Royal Hallamshire Hospital,  the hospital was brilliant I could not have asked for better care,  the food was brilliant,  the team of surgeons who preformed the operations were also brilliant. Its a huge hospital with 850 beds and 15,000 staff.  and they all appear to be happy well those I had were.  This type of problem with eyes only affects five to seven people in one million,   they don't always turn to cancer and stay benign for years as mine has proved.  I am going back up next week to see the Professor for a check up, I hope everything will be OK.
I hope you have a lovely weekend
Until we meet again Take care

Group of Bookmarks 14/25 Motif challenge

Hi,

This is the last scheduled post,  today we are travelling back from Cyprus arriving late tonight,
Today I have a few bookmarks for you,  I tried to find out what the collective word would be for a group of them,  and I could not find anything,  so I am calling them a group.
The first one at the top is the Spiral Bookmark in white and Tropical Punch.    The second one is Kerstis Floral Tatted bookmark in Pink Parade,   both are Lizbeth threads no 20. Both are my favorites and lovely to tat.
This bookmark is the Rose and Butterfly by Jeanne Lugart,   the thread is rather old by coats and I have no idea how old or what the number is,  I asked Vernon is pick out a different colour for me out of the draw where I keep my thread,  and this is what he choose.
Now he knows how much thread I have,  but a tatter can never had too much can she????
This pattern needs a split chain at the bottom,  I think I did a good job on that,  and a Josephine chain yes well that was something that needed a bit of refreshing last time I did one of those it looked a mess but thanks to Lady Shuttle maker link to her blog.  She had a wonderful piece on her blog explaining how to do it,  I did it first time and I think it looks good.   I will be doing them again now I have the trick in making them.   Yes my time while I was ill has been a learning curve and re-freshing up on what I found hard to do.  I think I told you that before. See I have not wasted my time all together.

I look forward to seeing you all soon,   if you did not get a comment on your blogs while I was away sorry but I will try and visit you all and catch up on what's new.
Until we meet again take care
                      Hugs
