Look at what I found.............

Hi,

Its the 10th December today mild outside at around 10c and I heard a strange noise in the bedroom,  this is what I found fluttering inside my bedroom window a Red Admiral Butterfly, the photo looks a little orange but the flash came on so the colour was washed out a bit.  Well I just had to take a picture and share it.   Butterflies in December that's definitely rare,  we only saw two of these butterflies all summer.
Hope you had a good day,  this surprise made my day. Vernon did put her outside but she came back in again,  so we left her to go out of the little window when shes ready.
                       Hugs
                   Margaret

  2. so gorgeous Margaret, I always think seeing butterflies in winter is a loved one coming back to visit.when jack was born, in the middle of January, on my first trek out with him in his pram, one of these butterflies landed on him and sat there for over 10 mins, I think it was his granddad.

    xx coops xx
