March Pinterest challenge by the Pin chicks

Hi,

Another month and here we are with this months challenge piece,  This was a free embroidery pattern on Pinterest,  so the colours and work was all mine,  here is a link to the pattern.
I used 19 different colours,  and the stitches I used were,
                       Lazy Daisy Stitch
                      Stem Stitch
                      Satin Stitch
                      Blanket Stitch,
                      Some straight stitching
                      Long and short stitching
Plus I put a bead in each flower on her chest
She's on a pierce of fabric,  not made up my mind what I will do with her,  but I have a feeling its going to walk in the direction of one grand daughter.
I do hope you like her,
Please pop over and see what the other pin chicks have been doing here is the links to their blogs
Suzanne,   Carollyn,   Muskaan  and Imoshen
Everyone works hard every month so we all welcome comments from our visitors.
Until we meet again

My goal is finished re Land of Laces Heart Doily

close up
Hi,
Yes I have finished to the point where my three month goal is set for my Fibromalgia course,  there is still the otter round to go which I will start after I have done a couple of little bits over the weekend.
Yes I am pleased not only reaching my goal within the time and how pretty the mat is coming along.
The last two rounds have been easy but I have no doubt the last round is not going to so easy.
I am using no 20 lizbeth thread, Cranberry Bush and light leaf green,  and the pattern is Heart Doily by Land of Laces.
Above is a close up,  I have not pressed it or sewn in the ends,   the light today is not good so they can wait until I get better light.
If you don't know the story of the Doily here are the links to previous posts January,   January,  March and  the last post
Hope you are having a good day

My Goal for three months cont.......

Hi,

As you can see another row on the Land of laces doily,   I put it on a different background the colours have come out better,   this round has two rows to the pattern this is the first part,  I have not blocked it as I am now well on the way the second part,
The thread is Cranberry bush rings with light leaf green chains no 20 lizbeth thread,   It looks like I might be able to start the row of hearts before I go back to the Mineral hospital,  which will be great as my goal will have accomplished.
Have a nice weekend  its the start of the F1 season,  I am looking forward to seeing how well Button does this year,  for those who don't know he is our local boy.

CD Sunday Challenge - Colour Challenge

Hi,
What a beautiful few days we are having here in Somerset,  the sun  is shining and its gorgeous,  hope it is where you live
This is the card for the CD Sunday challenge unfortunately my mojo seems to have gone out the craft room window, perhaps sun bathing in the garden? This image and background is from the  La Pashe CD Gnomes and Fairies too,,  there are some brilliant images on this CD,  its going to be used again.   I have a little bag of wool bits too long to throw away but they came in handy for her knitting,  but I think I knitted it too long,  I decoupage her and glitter her wings,  glittered the other fairies in the picture,   Added a computer made sentiment which I made up with a pink and green glittery ribbon down the sides.  I hope this card meets the challenge with plenty of colour.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi

Happy St Patrick's Day,   for all my Irish followers I hope you have a nice day.
This is a pattern by Mariya Davydova  the link I have to her blog  is mariyas-tatting-blogspot.com,  it did not work when I tried it but it might work for you.  She called the pattern clover and was done with four leaves but it did not lay right so I did it with three and it did lay down,  with a spiral chain as a stalk.  I know its the wrong green as I used Lizbeth thread no 20 christmas green mix as it was on the shuttles.
Have a great day

My Goal for three months cont....

Hi,

What a lovely day we have here in Somerset the fog is clearing and the sun has its hat on,  hope its the same with you.
Do you remember this post,  that I am doing a Fibromalgia course at The Mineral Hospital in Bath,  we were set a goal to do for the next three months,   I chose to continue with the Land Of Laces Doily which I had started,   well the next round is done in Cranberry bush,
My goal is to get to the final row which is the hearts,  I have started the next row with the light leaf green chains and Cranberry rings which I will if it looks OK do the next row the same.  Both  look like they will be quick so I might get to the row of hearts by the time we go back to the Mineral Hospital.
Hope you are having a nice weekend.
                                   Hugs

Baby's cardigan top to bottom knit

Hi,
This is a new style of knitting to me but it works and its quick,  I am pleased with the result if only I could get the colour to match the photo,  after nearly 50 takes these are the nearest photos to the colour, in every type of light and in all sorts of places in the house,  well these will have to do. Its call an 'An-in-one-baby Top,  or a cardigan to you and me of a certain age.  Its in medium Fern Green in double knitting wool. Starting at the neck line and working down to the top of the sleeves and then proceeding down to the bottom,  you then pick up for the sleeves and knit them down to the cuff.  The cap was easy to knit and compliments the cardigan perfectly.
I have done another one which is waiting for me to finish off thats in cream,  at least that will be easier to photo.
The pattern is free from  Mariannas Lazy Daisy Days,   she does have other patterns, so do pop over and have a look.
From a very windy wet/ snow day here in Somerset Take Care

CD Sunday Challenge - Thank you

Hi,
This is the card for the CD Sunday Challenge,  I am a bit late but I hope my card will be OK.
I used Joanna Sheens CD Patience Strong for the background paper,   I then place a strip of brown card and embossed a strip of peach card with a die cut butterfly in the same brown card used.  I finished off the card with gold gems and a gold thank you peel off.
I wanted a simple card and I think I managed that.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hi,

This year Craftree are doing a challenge,  a year long 24 Snowflake tat-along,  using the book 24 Snowflakes in tatting by Lene Bjorn,    Here is Day one not the easiest pattern with the bare threads,  the last round was tricky even for me, I really had to concentrate on the pattern but here it is in white Lizbeth thread no 20.

Happy St David's Day

To all my Welsh followers Happy St David's Day.
I tatted this daffodil last year from the pattern by Jennifer Williams,   the inspiration for the daffodil design came from her garden,   I used Lizbeth thread no 20 Pineapple Parfait,   I could not find a yellow button in the shop but i did find this green glitter one,  sorry I am showing you the same daffodil  again I have not had the time to make a new one.
Have a lovely day
                       Hugs
