Polish Doily from Craftree Update

Hi,

Did you think I had stropped tatting this doily,  well I left it to one side when I was tatting the squares,  and I have now started again,  there's two more rows to do.
This is the ten round which I did in pink,  sorry I have some ends to sew in but the light has not been at its best to do it.  I think now there's a bit more the long chains are finally pulling out.
Hopefully the end is in sight.
Here is a link to the last blog post
Hope you are having a lovely weekend

More Squares for Brussels

Hi,

I have posted these squares of to Brussels,  I saw this little pattern on the Facebook page, Let's tat a Brussels Monument in pink for Women's Rights,   This little pattern is called Fortuna Square Motif by Henna J Hwang.
The last count I saw yesterday on her Facebook page is
                                        3902 squares
16 Patterns offered for action (My patterns were tatted using three of the                               patterns)
                                        41 countries have participated
Its going to be put up in the most trendy place in Brussels
Halles Saint Gery,  a place full of history and meaning
(I hope I got the name of the place correct). on the 10th August.

My contribution may not be much but with the 24 squares I sent before and these 6 that makes a grand total of 30,  I know many have tatted more some have done less,  but every square counts. I will let you know the final total when I find out.

Deadline for the squares to be in Brussels is the 30th March, 2018.
Happy Tatting

Shoe Birthday

Hi,
While I am writing this post (Sunday morning)  its snowing and freezing cold,  so I am sat here just trying to get ahead of myself by doing a few posts.
Its the first day of spring today hopefully spring is going to come this year.
Today's card is a card for our sister in law she was the one who I made the knitted slippers  which you saw a few posts back.
For this card I used Ooh la la shoes in bloom CD,  the flowers, feather, ribbon and peel offs are all from stash.
She loves her slippers so I hope she will like this card.
Hope you are having a good week,
                                        Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - Rabbit Rabbit

Hi,
Good morning from a very snowy Somerset,  we already have at least two inches and it's still snowing, it's a day to stay warm indoors.
Its time for another challenge at the CD Sunday Challenge blog,  this time its Pamela's turn and she chose Rabbit.
I feel I went back to my childhood with this card I used The tale of Peter Rabbit CD by Crafters Companion,  this was my favorite book as a child.
I had a Christmas card with this shape, I liked the shape so much I measured and worked out how to do it,  I have no idea what the shape is called but its folded from one piece of card.  The front piece is then added on.    I used a piece of the backing paper that goes with the Peter Rabbit image and then decoupaged the image added some small cardboard pieces of Peter Rabbit that came free with Crafts Beautiful some time ago, finished off with a peel off happy birthday.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Birds / feathers

Hi,
I could say its a bit warmer at least we have got rid of the snow we had last weekend,  its got a long way to go yet before we can say its spring.
Today I made this card for the challenge crafting with Dragonflies, their challenge  is birds / feathers.
I used for the card a sheet of damask paper which I had in stash with a Kanban embossed card and a Kanban image of a pretty bird.  finishing off the card with peel offs and a bow.  I cut half of the front card away placing the image in the middle.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.
                 Hugs
                                          Margaret

I am also entering this card in the challenge cardz4guyz

CD Sunday Challenge - In the wild

Hi,
Another Challenge from the CD Sunday Challenge blog,   this fortnight it is Jane's turn to choose and she has chosen In the Wild.

For this card I used Wild at heart by Pollyanna Pickering Creative Crafting World CD,  The image is of a snow leopard.  I matted the image onto silver miri card,  added peel offs in the corners and a gingham ribbon bow.
