CD Sunday Challenge - Anything Goes

Hi,
Its time for another challenge at CD Sunday Challenge Blog,  this time its Wynn's choice and its Anything goes,  anything goes as long as its from a CD or using an element from a CD.
For my card I have tried to do something different,  I used the embossing folder window frame as the backing for the card,  and put in the window an image from the Pamela West CD by Joanna Sheen,   I placed a piece of acetate for the glass.   I used a die called Hickey Dicky dock grandfather clock with the mouse going up the clock,  yes he is there.  I put a vase with flower soft which I mixed several colours together and added very small silver gems in and on the vase.  I also put the same very small gems on the clock face.  Finished off the card with a bow.

CD Sunday challenge now has a Facebook page for those who would like to enter the challenge and do not have a blog,   here is a link to the page

I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Punches and Dies Crafting with Dragonflies

Hi,
I'm late,  very late with this card, I nearly did not enter this card,  I played with dies literally,   this card is all dies,  I used a green card as the base and cut this round die which I found on Amazon and loved it,  (OK it was a impulse buy).
I cut three round dies in red and placed them on the card and then place a flourish, flowers, with a butterfly all white,  I glittered them with silver glitter and put gems in the middle of the flowers.
I am entering this card in the Crafting with Dragonflies challenge.
Hope you had a good day

Happy St. Georges day

I wish all my followers in England,
a very Happy St. Georges Day,
It would be nice if it was a bank holiday.
Enjoy your day.

Back to Basics and beyond

Hi,
Its not very often I do other challenges but this new challenge group does look interesting and something for beginners and experienced crafters
I made this birthday card for our step son whose birthday is on Tuesday,  hes blind so its hard to make cards for a blind person,  as its his 50th The image is from craft creations,   I can put this card on my blog as they don't look at my blog.
I have 3d the image a little bit,  matted the image onto silver card and then onto a green card,  the silver brings out the image colours more,  and finished off the card with silver peel offs.
I am entering this card in the new challenge blog, for challenge 1 Matting and layering
Hope you are having a lovely weekend

Knitted Dog coat

Top of the coat

Underneath the coat
Hi,
I just fancied knitting something different,   no I don't have a dog so this has gone into my little shop on Facebook.  I used to knit all the dogs I had a coat or coats for the winter they had quite a wardrobe as they got older.
This was knitted in double knitting wool sorry I lost the label but I was using up an odd ball,  it measures  top of the coat 14 inches or 37 cms,  the underneath measures 11 inches or 28 cms,  and the width is 7 and half inches or 19 cms.  Would fit a Lhasa Apso or a Belgium Griffon or any dog of a similar size,
Hope you are having a good week

Flower shoe card

Hi,
I am going to say its getting slightly warmer,  hopefully spring might show itself or perhaps summer wont be long.
Today my card is a birthday card made for a friend whose birthday was last week.   She did like her card very much.
I used the Shoes in ~Bloom CD by Ooh la la creations,  this is fast becoming a firm favorite.  I matted the image on silver card,  added a bow and silver peel offs,  the backing paper matches the image.  A simple card for a change.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend

International Tatting Day - 1st April 2018

Hi,

This is my second post today,  Today is International Tatting Day,  there's a lot going on in the tatting world at the moment,   with the tatting worldwide tatting project with tatters around united in one thing, tatting pink squares for Brussels.  The deadline has now gone, so we await for the number of squares finally tatted.  There will always a few late ones due to the postal services across the world.

I have nothing new today that I am tatting at the moment to show you so I thought you would like to see my 100 years + old doily. I don't think I have shown this doily before so I thought I would show this doily.  This we think was tatted by my fathers mother,  we never saw her tat but this mat must have been hers,  when I found it in mothers cupboard it was a little dirty,  so I throw it in the washing machine., along with some over things of hers not realizing how old this mat was.  It was only when Mother and I were talking about this mat did we work out that it must have been hers and it was over 100 hundred  years old.  Yes its true I did throw it in the washing machine at 40o and it came out prefect, no strains,  yesterday I gave it a blocking so I could take this picture,  I did Carolyn's tip sprayed it with water and rolled the rolling pin over it.   For something old I think its not looking too bad.  I do take it with me when I give tatting talks, as an example of old tatting.   I might add I don't use it I keep it in a draw,  I think its too old to use everyday.

I have no idea what thread was used but I think it must have been number 80,  even if I did find the pattern I cant tat size 80 because of my eyes,  and I doint like the colour ecru.

Have a lovely tatting day,  Its Easter Sunday here and I'm staying in,  the weather is not good this weekend with snow forecasted for parts of the country tomorrow,  may not come here in the Mendips,  we have had two lots in March so you never know things come in three's.

                             Happy Tatting
                                   Hugs

CD Sunday Challenge - No Pattern Papers

Hi,
That fortnight went quick and here we are another CD Sunday Challenge this time its Meg's turn to choose and its No Pattern Papers.
For this challenge I used an image from the Pamela West CD by Joanna Sheen,  I matted the image onto purple card matching the colour of the flowers, I used an ivy die by Joanna Sheen placed on opposite corners of the image in the same cream card.
The image was put on an embossing folder by Couture Creations - Extra Loren from the Elegance Collection on cream card, I used a pink card as a base,  in the image there is a splash of pink which matched the base card, finished off with a matching ribbon down the side, and three matching gems.
I have not decided what occasion I will use the card for so it has been left blank for now.
