Polish doily from Craftree update.

Hi,

Well here is an update on this doily,     I should have put this on last week as below is where I am now.   I started the long chains in white and this is rounds 6 and 7,  I don't like the long chains,  I have only roughly blocked this hoping when I get more rounds on it will straighten out a bit more.

Here is the latest round in purple round eight.   I was unable to sew in the ends yesterday as the light was very bad.   I really don't know if I am going to like this doily or not, time will tell,  its not my usual colouring,   sometimes you have to try something different.  again this was only roughly blocked,  I have been doing Carolyn's method of damping the doily and rolling it out with the rolling pin,  it works saves using the iron too.

What do you think?
                                    Hugs

  2. Long chains have a lot of energy, don't they? And those are very long chains! Good progress.

  5. Your doily is pretty Margaret, I love the colours - the long chains certainly look different. It looks very intricate, it must be difficult in the poor winter light.

  6. I like your color choices! I don't remember if I've seen the finished doily or not, but it does have different shaping than I'm used to. It is quite interesting!
