Endrucks project December game
Hi,
Enducks project this December was how many snowflakes can you tat, well I did not do very well as I had some other things to do and finish. All the patterns were inspired from pattern #12
This pattern is the little stars and snowflakes pattern by Krystyna Mura I used Lizbeth white no 20
This is Celtic stars and snowflake again this is another pattern by Krystyna Mura. I used Lizbeth white and ice blue no 20
This is Filigree stars and snowflake pattern again by
Krystyna Mura I used Lizbeth white no 20
As you can see my points went anywhere but straight, they just did whatever direction it looks like they are flying or walking which ever way you look at them, I blame my silly arthritic hand, I think it makes them more interesting. Thank you Muskaan and Ninetta for organising this months project
I wish you a very happy new year.

Enducks Project, Tatted bell
Hi,
Its a very cold and misty day here, we have had nearly a week of fog, everything I went out it was foggy, yesterday it was clear and cloudy and I stayed in to do some housework and catch up on some things, today its misty and even colder.
Novembers project on the Enducks project was the angel which also made a bell if you turned it upside down, it was my pattern which I designed from the enlarged heart, I did made one change in the pattern when I got to the ring which is now at the bottom I did a small chain of three double stitches before making the ring, and added a crystal in the middle, and then another chain of three double stitches back to the outer chain. I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in white
This month the project is snowflakes, I am busy with an order at the moment so I may not get many snowflakes done, my hand is not liking the cold weather and is painful, but we shall see what I can do.
Also this is my new shuttle in memory of our late queen, this will be kept and not used.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

jacaranda Motif Cross
Hi,
At last I have finished this large cross, I started it on holiday as we were staying in a Hotel called Jacaranda, in Tenerife, we both came home ill with Covid, we are getting better but it’s been a long upward journey, The holiday was booked 2019, carried forward from 2020 to 2021, and again 2021 to 2022. Our journey home was eventful too with a delay of seven and half hours, because the plane broke down in Bristol, they had to go to Manchester to get another plane and then fly to Tenerife, Bristol must be the worse airport with a lack of staff, we waited one and half hours for the luggage when just 20 cases arrived, of course none of them were ours, so we had to wait longer for ours, having left the hotel at 8.45 am we eventually arrived home at 2am the next day,
The name Jacaranda is actually a tree that has blue flowers, I used Lizbeth thread no 20 in Blue ice and Peacock blues thread. The pattern is by Lilliantatlace, here is a link to her Blog, she also has a nice free pattern for oak leaves too.

CD Sunday challenge - Anything goes # 95
Hi,
Time for another challenge at the CD Sunday, as always its anything goes, as long as its from a CD, USB or digital material and the host this fortnight is Carol.
For my card this fortnight I thought I would shape the top of the card into a round shape, I used the backing paper and image form the Roses CD by Robert Addams. I wanted to do something different as this is for a wedding anniversary, I embossed a white card, and then cut the heart shape out, but even my largest heart shape was too small for the image so I cut the heart into half and placed half above the roses image and the other half at the bottom. I decoupaged the rose and then glittered it unfortunately the glitter does not show up in the picture. I added the ribbon bow and the peel offs

Tatted bookmarks
It’s a beautiful day here, not as hot but I would say comfortable, we did have some rain on Wednesday not enough no I am not greedy, but some at night would be nice, the ground is rock hard and the grass is now a mixture of brown and green.
I made these bookmarks a couple of months ago when I got rid of the flu and to get me back into tatting again. The top pattern is by Robin Perfetti called cross of sevens, one of my favourite patterns, I used yellow Lesur Pixie thread, it’s a new thread to me and is very bright yellow, and peacock blue by Lizbeth no 20
This bookmark is from a bracelet pattern by Augusta Greco and I used purple Iris fusion by Lizbeth no 20
I hope you are enjoying the weekend here in the U.K. it’s a bank holiday

Happy 20th wedding anniversary
Hi,
Today 20 years ago, Vernon and I were married, gosh 20 years it does not seem like it, yes we have had our ups and downs, the good times and the bad times, illnesses, that’s me more than him, wonderful holidays here and in Europe and Turkey, not a lot more I could ask for.
I made this card for him, reflecting on it I think it’s more female than male, originally I was going to add an invitation in it hence the table where she sitting for afternoon tea, but Vernon said he did not want an afternoon tea, he wanted a pair of slippers, so I will get him a pair when we go shopping.
Last week I had an injection in my hip, a guided one with a scanner, the injection goes deep into the hip, the gland is very inflamed, and I told to rest and it would take two weeks to settle down. I could not shower for 24 hours because of the hole where the needle went, and the dressing was not to get wet. I am following their instructions, it still hurts and is bruised inside, just hoping this injection will work and the pain will ease, it’s been very bad over the last few months, less pain would be good.
Today we are having a quite day, a Chinese meal and a bottle of wine.
Hope you have a lovely day

CD Sunday challenge - Anything goes # 91
Hi,
At the time of writing this its slightly cooler than it has been, although I have been in heatwaves all over Europe, this heatwave has just killed me and played the fibromalgia up as well. My garden would love some rain, it seems to miss us and we just get a few spots that does nothing for the plants. As usual for this challenge is anything goes. This fortnight Pamela is the host for the challenge.
For my card this fortnight, I used an image and paper from The Pamela Wrest collection CD by Joanna Sheen, I matted the image onto Kanban card from stock, using a plain and embossed purple shades of card, I tried something different, not sure if it worked, I added the fence and lamp die from Polkadoodies. and I made a matching ribbon bow. I added silver peel offs welcome to your new home

Endrucks 1920 tatting Project
Hi,
Mushaan and Nietta Caruso started a project last year, using the Endrucks 1920 patterns and modernising them, a few weeks ago Mushaan published a heart pattern, see the above picture, I tatted the heart in Lizbeth thread no 20 Cranberry bush, but I did not think the pattern leaded itself to a varigated thread.
Then Mushaan said she thought it should be bigger, that got me thinking and I made the pattern bigger by adding three rings see picture, this is only a rough tat, I added some beads as well. Then someone on Facebook said it looked like an Angel,
all I can say is watch this space., if you would like to see more of this project here is a link to Mushaan’ s Blog. Link. You will also see her lemons from her tree.

Knitted and tatted picture
Hi,
I don’t think I have ever shown this picture
Yesterday I looked at this picture and thought it looked a bit dusty, so I carefully washed it, hang it out to dry. Then I thought I have never shown this tatted and knitted picture, so here it is, the foxglove is knitted on no 14 needles, all the surrounding foliage is tatted, the butterfly is also tatted. I used embroidery silk to make it all, three stands on the foxglove with small black beads in the each flower, three stands for the tatted foliage and flowers and two stands on the butterfly. All sewn on to net and blanket stitch to secure it to the frame, Trouble is I don’t know when I made it, I think it’s 30 to 35 years old. When I washed it yesterday I really thought it would break up but no it’s fine.

The knitted Elephants
On this very hot day here in Somerset, we now have a heatwave, it’s just a bit warm for the U.K. and tomorrow parts of England could reach 40+ c. In our climate it’s over powering, we have summers that are cooler than Europe with a wet sapping heat, while down in the south of Europe they have a dry heat which is usual bearable and you don’t notice the temperatures so much. At the moment many parts of Europe are in temperatures beyond their usual for this time of year and many countries are suffering with wild fires. I always feel sorry for the wild animals, they are the ones who get left behind and suffer. Trees can grow again or be replanted, animals can not be replaced so easily.
Today i am showing some knitting I have been knitting over the last couple of months some elephants, This is an old pattern which I have knitted so many times, I did two girl elephants, both I did slightly different than usual and made a shawl, instead of a ribbon around their necks and a boy elephant, I made a scarf for him. I think this is Chelsea football colours, I’m not a football fan so if I am wrong I am sure someone will post right or wrong.
The eyes are embroidered on with back wool.
I hope you are staying cool in the heat, we are not going out tomorrow or Tuesday, we are going to stay in the cool as much as possible, No gardening, I have been band from the craft room as it’s too hot, the sun hits first thing in the morning and it’s very hot in there even with the blinds shut.
Take care

Embroidered pillow cases
Hi,
I am scheduling this post as I am away, This is a pair of pillow cases which I was given as a kit by a friend, she did not think she could do it justice, it was not an easy kit and although I did simplify the flowers a little bit, I completely changed the leaves. They originally were in cross stitch, but I felt it looked wrong so one the first pillow case I did unpick those I had done, re designed them into more of a rose leaf. I think it worked
The kit was by Bucilla called florentine border no 63328 and designed by Terry Bertone. I kept to the same colours as the kit.
There was a variety of stitches, mainly stem stitch, French knots, blanket stitch and satin stitch.
Hope you are having a good week.

The jubilee crown
Hi,
Today is another bank holiday, For the U.K. we have a four day bank holiday to celebrate 70 years on the throne of our queen, Queen Elizabeth, Although she came to the throne when her father died, her coronation was not until following year 1953. She is the longest reigning monarch we have ever had. After two long years of lockdowns and Covid the country is ready to celebrate,
This pattern was designed by Jennifer Williams, I don’t think it’s my best tatting but I am happy with it. I used Lizbeth thread gold colour no 20 and used red and blue seed beads.
I hope you are enjoying this long weekend,
